Lead A Horse To Water
Everyone has heard that you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Now many people would ask why lead him at all if he won't drink? Well I was raised on a farm with horses and sometimes you have to take it one step further with the horse. It knows it's thirsty, but does not know what for. So I would dip my hand into the water and then hold it to the lips of the horse. The horse would lick the water in my hand, realize what it was, and begin to drink.
Well, people can be like that horse. You can lead them to Jesus, but you can't make them accept Him as their Savior. So why bother to lead them at all? Well, after you lead them to Him, you have to take that extra step. Now you have to show them what He can mean to their lives. Read the Bible with them. Help them to understand what it says. They are thirsty, now teach them how to quench that thirst.

Then I will teach your ways to sinners, and they will return to you.

Love Re-committed
Almost any day you can read about this person who is getting a divorce or that couple that is splitting up. Then comes February 14th, St. Valentine's Day and everyone is lovey-dovey. Then it all begins all over again on the 15th. Now even among good christians there is divorce and separation. However it is a true fact that it is much lower among those who search out the Lord than those who do not.
This year I challenge you. Disregard the advertising, walk past the displays of candy for Valentine's Day, and first seek out the Lord.
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
                                                                Proverbs 8:17 (KJV)

Commit yourself to the Lord first, then take the one here on earth that you love by the hand.
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
                                                                Proverbs 18:22 (KJV)

Then, with prayer, re-commit yourself to her.
Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Let her be as the loving hind and pleasent roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
                                                                Proverbs 5:18-19 (KJV)
(But don't forget the candy and flowers.)

Truth
Not long ago I read an editorial about a man who was in a position of power. After I read the editorial, I looked into the statements made and found no facts to support them. Now an editorial is an opinion of one person and, although it is just an opinion, it should still be based in facts that can be proven. Even an opinion, if stated publicly, that is without a factual basis could be consid-ered slanderous. It can be called a lie and is addressed quite strongly in Colossians 3:9, "Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds." (KJV) As people who seek the truth in all things, we should, and the Lord does, hold ourselves in a high standard. Whenever we make a statement about someone, it should always be based in facts. Others will hold us accountable as will the Lord when we go before him.

These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.

To Judge Or Judge Not
"Judge not, that ye be not judged." Matthew 7:1 People love to use this statement when someone talks abouth another person. But do we use this statement in it's true context or not? God told Moses to establish judges over the people in Exodus 18:21. So just what does this state-
ment mean? Jesus tells us in the second verse that the standards that we hold others to, will be used to hold us to as well. We judge others everyday without thinking about it. We judge how they are dressed, how they look, and how they speak. And we have to remember that others are doing the same to us. Have you ever been on a jury in court? Here also you sit in judgement of someone else. So what should we do? Look at ourselves first. Take stock of our looks, our behavior, and our own actions. How would you judge yourself if you were someone else looking at you?

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or who wilt tho say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
                                                          Matthew 7:3-5 (KJV)
