All entering college students that have an ACT score below 18 are required to take the "COMPASS" placement test. The test consists of three (3) separate tests: Reading, Math and English. Failure to achieve a minimum score (college level) results in the student being required to complete from 1-9 developmental classes.
NOTE: Colleges may require a higher ACT score.
For instance University of Louisville requires an ACT
score of 21.
