1/12/2000: Hannibal Completes Filming
The movie's producers, father-and-daughter team Dino and Martha
Di Laurentiis reported to
Popcorn UK that Hannibal has finished
shooting.

"We finished shooting last Friday," Martha says, who goes on to reveal
that the movie is now making good progress in the editing room.

Production on the 'Silence Of The Lambs' sequel has been going on
for 17 weeks, with Anthony Hopkins reprising his role as the serial-
killing Dr Hannibal Lecter. Ridley Scott took on directing duties, while
Julianne Moore stepped in to take Jodie Foster's place as the older
Clarice Starling. Both father and daughter were full of praise, calling
her "sensational".

Dino De Laurentiis reckons Moore is "more physically right for the
character in the book ten years later" than Foster. He also claims that
'Hannibal' will be far scarier than 'The Silence Of The Lambs',
describing it as "full of emotion, intriguing, unusual and original."

His daughter agrees, adding, "There's mystery, it's gruesome, it's
incredible, it's chilling - just Anthony with the voice - you'll see."
