   CONNOR SIMPSON - PATRICK DRURY
   A local artist who enjoys painting 
   watercolours of landscapes, Connor is a member of the Midsomer Worthy choir.
   LAURENCE BARKER - PETER CAPALDI
   Laurence is in his 40s, conductor 
   of the Midsomer Worthy choir. He's an irritable man, driven to 
   disappointment by his relentless pursuit of perfection.
   ELLEN BARKER - ANNABELLE APSION
   Laurence's wife Ellen is unhappy 
   in her marriage. She's a failed actress now working as a children's entertainer.
   CAROLYN ARMITAGE - SARA STEWART
   Carolyn inherited the Hartsmede 
   Estate, together with the financial burden of running it. She's a 
   member of the choir and once had a relationship with Stephen Latimer.
   GILES ARMITAGE - RONAN VIBERT
   Carolyn's husband Giles is unhappy 
   in his role as meeter and greeter of the punters who visit Hartsmede. 
   He seeks diversion in gambling.
   STEPHEN LATIMER - SCOTT HANDY
   Stephen is a talented tenor who 
   has left the rival Aston Wherry choir to join the Midsomer Worthy 
   choir. He still has feelings for Carolyn Armitage.
   LEO CLARKE - JOHN SHRAPNEL
   In his early 50s, Leo is a 
   businessman and choir member who came to the village 10 years ago to 
   set up his international haulage business.
   FRANCIS CRAWFORD - MICHAEL FITZGERALD
   The ruthless, aggressive and 
   mostly successful conductor of the Aston Wherry choir, Francis enjoys 
   taunting Laurence Barker about his achievements.
   SAM JUDD - JOHN CORDING
   A keen bird watcher and 
   long-serving estate manager at Hartsmede. Sam was recently laid off 
   by Giles Armitage but is still loyal to Carolyn.
   KATH BULLARD - ALWYNE TAYLOR
   Kath is a local GP, married to 
   pathologist George Bullard, and a friend of Joyce Barnaby.
