COACH USED IN DEATH OF A STRANGER

The Coach itself started life as an LMS Kitchen car built in 1924 at Derby. It was converted in 1956 as a Departmental coach and used for track Inspection, with facilities for a live in crew. Now undergoing restoration on the Watercress Line, the coach was actually lived in until recently by one of it's members.
Filming for these segments took place in Black Park which is close to Pinewood Studios.

RING OUT YOUR DEAD
Below is a photo of the bus that is seen in 'Ring Out Your Dead'. It is a 1976 Leyland National model, new to Alder Valley as 221 and was restored in 1999 to the same anniversary Aldershot and District livery carried by sister 231 many years earlier. 221 was specially selected as it is a particularly nice vehicle to drive and has an unusually original interior. The bus is now in preservation.
