Professional Ballet Dancer

Being a professional ballet dancer can be a dream of a lot of young girls and of some girls/boys in training. The process of getting to be a professional ballet dancer is not all that easy, though. It takes time, talent, effort and most importantly dedication.

First of all, a girl/boy might have to go through auditions to get into the school they wished to be trained. The road of difficulties barely starts after the child has been accepted into a decent ballet school. The training of a ballet dancer is hard and torture to some degree. At the beginning, a pupil might think it is dull work and lacks excitement but a good solid foundation is very important. As the training goes on, most would discover the "pain" both physically and emotionally (less time to hang out with friends or family if residential schools). Even that, there's always people that are willing to take up the challenge and journey on to the obstacles filled road of a professional ballet dancer.

Challenges don't stop once you become a professional. There's still the problem of injuries and promotion as well as keeping the contract that you hold because better dancers are being produced everday.
