DANCER IN COMMERCIAL THEATRE
I found this in the book The World Of Ballet by Judy Tatchell
Good singers who have jazz and tap experience can audition for parts in musicals that require dancers. The choreography in musicals can be very demanding, as the dance sequences are often the high point of a show.
However, life in musicals is less secure than in a ballet company. Contracts only last for the duration of the show's run, which may be short. Long running shows, though, may have several casts. Constant auditioning will become a way of life if you decide to choose this career.
