FIRST CLASS

Is this your first time to the class? Here are some tips to help you fell more comfortable.

~wear appropriate clothes~
-stick to the dress code (Most teachers consider it rude to wear outside of the dress code when there is one.)
-ask the students what they usually wear
-wear clothes that you feel comfortable in and that shows your body line well
-a pink or black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes (if none of tha above suits you)

~choose an appropriate spot~
-wait until the old students choose their place (if you are the only one new, better be careful of their usual spots)
-find a place you feel comfortable in
-don't be shy

~be careful of others~
-when doing exercises, make sure you don't hit the others (some gets really upset when you do that)
-try maintaining a bit of space between you and the other, let others have room to dance
-stay in your line when doing across the floor exercises

~keep on dancing when you do something wrong~
-when performing, a director isn't going to stop when you do something wrong
-you might be in the way of the next people coming in

~practise and watch~
-watch or practise when other people are dancing (when your teacher don't want you practising at the side, then don't)
-don't talk to others
