Plot Summary: When his father goes off to war, Jamie took over as male head of the family. He, his mother, and his two young siblings formed a tight-knit family, faithful to the hope that his father would return. Mitch Vogel did a splendid job playing Jamie. Albert Salmi played the villain who was quite intimidating to everyone except this family. These two actors would appear again together a year or so later in a "Bonanza" episode.
