I have been a member
of The
Older Cats Society for almost over 3 years. when CLAW closed
a couple of years ago I became an assistant with Blackie Jamison.
That was a good time for Blackie and myself. Blackie's hooman
then had to devote full time to schoolwork and I became Leader
of CLAW. That was a challenge for me as well as an exciting opportunity.
Last fall Lloyd became my co-leader. He was a wonderful, gentle,
intelligent cat. When he went to the Rainbow Bridge in December
his brofur McGee became my co-leader. McGee is equally wonderful,
gentle and intelligent as well. I love working with him.
I have made many
friends among OCS. Each kitty is interesting and charming and
we all have unique experiences. Working with the OCS is a labor
of love. I try each month with the help of McGee and our Advisor,
Shibui to make the OCS both exciting and interesting to the members.
With 50% participation most months we are doing fairly well.
I can always dream of 100% participation.
This was very unexpected.
I was so very surprised!
This was by far
the most exciting month OCS had. We had many visitors. The theme
was all about having a sun shiny January.
I just make 'em.
I don't get 'em.

Thanks St. Patrick
When the ground
is white and dull,
and life gets to be a bore.
Along comes the Irish St. Patrick
dropping green shamrocks out his pockets.
He rids Ireland of all the snakes
and me of my winter doldrums.
Thanks St. Patrick for having a special day,
Green Beer, green rivers, and green streets,
and for all the good, happy Irish cheer!
