Over the years we have noticed how pleasurable it is to own artwork by well established and even famous artists in the format for which the work was originally created, the most obvious being the illustrated book. This can often be at a fraction of the price that an original piece of art work by the same artist might cost at auction or in a gallery. However sometimes lesser items can have the same attraction or even sense of occasion. The book jacket is a case in point, artists like John Minton, Edward Bawden and John Piper all did dust jacket designs for leading publishers and for books that had no other visual content. These can cost considerably less than an illustrated book despite their relative rarity.

Catalogues from seminal and important art exhibitions are increasingly sought after and are in our view even more desirable with some of the peripheral extras such as posters or printed carrier bags. We hope you will like our selection on show and will be encouraged to enquire as to whether we have anything covering your particular interests.
