WHAT THE CHANGE TO IPF SCORING MEANS FOR COLLEGIATE NATIONALS

Using the IPF scoring will go as follows:  each school (club registration as per USAPL rules) may designate up to 10 women and 11 men spread throughout the weight-classes, with no more than two in any given class.  At the conclusion of the meet, each team's top six places will be scored for team points.  Point distribution is as follows:  1st=12, 2nd=9, then 8,7,6,5,4,3,2, with each lifter falling 10th or below being awarded one point.
This WILL enhance the competitiveness of our national meet.  Obviously, those teams which are able to enter the full 10/11 lifters have something of an advantage over those only able to enter six, BUT this scoring system gives all the teams a chance, instead of conceeding the title to the full team.
Note that once the team entries in the Collegiate Nationals rises to there being several full teams on a consistent basis, we should be able to return to the original USAPL National Meet Team Scoring rules.  The time is now to raise the bar for Collegiate lifting.  Form your teams and let's meet in Killeen to butt heads for the title:
