Ode to Jonny Davis
by Danielle Ryder
The same demons that tore you down
Are transferred into me
Yet yours still live inside you
How can that be?
I look into your beautiful eyes
I see all the good in your soul
But I know all the pain you suffer
I know inside your numb and cold
I feel your pain everytime
I see your cold blank stare
Hide behind your mask of pain
Hell, I too hide there.
Your a stranger in reality
I know not the feel of your touch
Still I could never love another
Never love another such
We share a pain so black and deep
We bleed together we scream
We share a nightmare of a life
Only well never wake from this dream
I wonder sometimes...
If your bloods as black as mine
It has to be I know
For only you share my mind
Expressing my pain in your screams
And seemingly every breath you take
You cry about my feelings inside
And with every tear my heart you break
Are you as dead inside?
Are you cut off from the earth?
Are you as lost in your mind?
Have you been dead since birth?
If so we share more
Than typical strangers do
I am thankful for your life
Which in return brings mine too.
I love you Jon
