In one instance, a wall builder offered to build a wall around Asgard, home of the gods. Loki haggled the builder that if he could build the wall in a week, he could have Thor's beautiful wife. The builder worked faster then anyone
expected. at the last minute, Loki transformed into a horse and seduced the wallbuilder's horse, which disallowed the builder to move stone to build the wall. The child of Loki and the horse turned out to be Sleipnir, the 8 legged steed who Loki gave to Odin if Odin promised to make no one speak of it again.

In another instance, Loki had 3 other children with a female giant. One of these children was Hel who was half-living, half dead. She became the mistress of Niflheim, or the underworld. Another child was Fenrir. Fenrir was a menace to the world until he was bound by the gods, but the gods payed a price in the bounding as well. The gods told the dwarves to forge a mighty chain that could not be broken. Fenrir agreed to let them put a chain on him, thinking he could break out of any chain, but he told them that on god had to put his hand inside Fenrir's mouth as an assurance. When Fenrir found he couldn't break the chain, he bit of the hand of Tyr, the only god brave enough to assure Fenrir. The third child was Jormagund, the World Serpent who is so large, it encircles the World Tree and bites it's tail. When Jormagund let's go of his tail, the end of the world will occur.
