Taker Interview at Funny Car Showing
Doug Puckett sent in the following:
I thought you might find this interesting..... Mark Calloway
(a.k.a. The Undertaker) was in Bristol Tennessee today
promoting the NHRA funny car of Jerry Toliver. Mark was
interviewed by a local reporter for NBC. Mark was dressed in a
black sleeveless t-shirt, dark sunglasses, a "doo-rag" on his
head and black pants; somewhat normal clothes I thought, but
silly because it was in the 90's today.
The funny thing was that he stayed in character during the
whole interview. When asked about his relationship with Toliver
he said "the phenom of terror meets the phenom of racing".He
talked about how Toliver was going to make the other drivers
"rest in peace". He talked about living in Tennessee some years
ago when he wrestled in other organizations and about the
upcoming PPV.
He said he would wrestle SCSA in a first blood match and told
the reporter "I got news for SCSA, I bleed slowly" The reporter
asked Mark why he got into wrestling and he responded "
Where else can you beat the hell outa some one and not get
put into jail"
Mark was for the most part cordial to the people around him He
shook hands with the reporter and with some small kids around
him. I thought it would have been better had he not stayed in
character and was the real "Mark Calloway", but hey.........
