This is why Steve Austin was so pissed the fact that he went through all that crap to save her and she was behind it the whole time. This theory makes a lot of sense in that Vince has pushed everyone else in his family including himself. However the other theory is that the Greater Power is Vince Russo. Russo could use the gimmick that he is responsible for all the new hip ideas in the WWF and has been ignored by the mainstream and was never given the on air credit from Vince McMahon that he deserved.
