Regina's Undertaker Experience!
Well, I'm back!! And it was worth the wait!!
First, I want to thank the newest member of UTBridePride, Dawn
aka
Syblayde, for informing me about the signing session!! Dawn, I
owe you
big time and will always remember today!!
Second, Lady Ariel, RJ, Skinchica....Your gifts were presented
and I
truely believe that he will enjoy them!!
Now, the meeting....The signing was at 3 pm but UT was late
(about 45
minutes)...Traffic is a bitch around the mall. I had to get a
wheel
chair (torn something in my knee) and hung my crutches on the
back. We
met Dawn on line and found a spot further down the line. I met
a
grandmother who thought UT was adorable and a "real hottie" and
she was
70 years young!!
Me and Greg were on line right in front of the back door where
HE was
going to go thru!! Dawn & I went to the bathroom and came back
just in
time!! Now, imagine me, on crutches, trying to get through the
crowds!
I wormed my way through just as Mark was coming towards me!! I
just
cheered and prayed that my hubby had gotten pics of his
entrance! God,
he looked great...black baseball cap, sunglasses, black tee
shirt and
blue jeans. Hair in ponytail and beard, pointed!! He looked so
hot!!
After that, the line moved real fast. Dawn came out and said
that Mark
mentioned that she must be a real fan (she was wearing a UT
pendant and
unique UT shirt). She said that she only got a few words out
and was
very excited to met him.
Now, my turn. We were told that we could take pictures but not
ask to
pose with him. So, I got out of the wheel chair, walked thru
the line,
trying to stay calm. I had e-mail gifts for The Undertaker (a
poem, a
drawing, a photo, and two short stories) and was told to give
them to
his "girl Friday", who sat next to him. I gave them to her and
Greg
took a quick pic of UT (he looked up at Greg as if on cue, so
that pic
should come out real nice!) I slide my 8"10" pic on the table,
he took
it and began to sign it. I said "My name is Regina and I gave
the young
lady some e-mails gifts from fellow fans thru the internet". He
looked
up at me and said "Thank you", but so low that I bearly heard
him (I was
too busy just staring at his lips)!! I then said that I've
really
enjoyed watching him over the past years and wished him a very
speedy
recovery of his injuries. My husband told Mark that he was very
pleased
to have met him and held out his hand to shake it. Mark looked
up at
him and shook his hand. I held out my hand, he turned and
looked at me
and shook my hand (OMG, what a rush)!! As I turned and walked
(limped,
actually) away, I kept whispering to myself "I didn't f*** up, I
didn't
f*** up! Yes!! I didn't f*** up!!"
Dawn, her hubby, me and my hubby just hung around waiting for
the crowds
to die down. When the last people went in for autographs, I
went back
in...I just wanted to see he again. I was told that I just
couldn't
walk up to him and have a conversation, but they didn't ask me
to leave.
Sooooo, I just stayed in the store (off in a corner) and watched
him
sign pics for the store and employees. He even allowed a
handicapped
teenager to pose w/ him for a private, personal picture. And
all the
while, I just kept watching and smiling at him and he would
lift up his
head and look around ( I guess to see who was still in the
store). And
since I don't "blend in" with most crowds, I certained that he
noticed
me.
After about 15 minutes, the store security asked me to leave (I
was the
only non employee in the store). Dawn, her hubby and I waited
by the
back door while my hubby stood by the limo. When Mark came out,
I got
more pictures, yelled out "Thank you for coming by" and watched
him walk
to his limo. The three of us were talking about all that
happened, my
hubby came and said that he actually spoke with Mark!! He asked
if he
was going to read the e-mail stuff that the young lady gave him.
He
said that he will read it, but not right away; sometime next
week!!!
Whew!!!! What a day!!
