“ Wait Sugizo!”

Jiro scrambled out of the door, hurrying towards his angered lover. It was as if he wasn’t heard because the pink haired man ignored the plea, walking with hurried steps down the staircase. Jiro continued to run after him, his long legs carrying him down the stairs three at a time.

“ Sugizo…-- ah~~!” Jiro’s foot slipped, making him lose balance and fell face first onto the floor.

Sugizo turned around at the cry and at the sound of the fall. His eyes widened with surprise at Jiro’s fallen figure and rushed back to help the younger man.

“ Jiro!” Sugizo held the blond in his arms. “ Daijobu? Are you hurt? Where does—“

“ Sugizo I’m so sorry!” Jiro threw his arms around Sugizo, “ I didn’t.. Teru… we…. Sugizo I’m so sorry! Gomen ne… gomen…”

The force of his hug nearly choked Sugizo but the man said nothing, remaining motionless in the blond’s arms. He hadn’t been thinking when he saw Jiro on the floor but now that Jiro had mentioned Teru again, his mind began to function normally again. The anger he’d felt before wasn’t burning so rashly but it was still there. Not for Jiro though, he wasn’t angered at his lover, more of disappointed. But he was angry at his brother.

“ Sugizo? Don’t leave me.. not now.” Jiro held onto the back of Sugizo’s neck, peering up at the older man. “ I didn’t mean.. that’s a stupid excuse but Sugizo, I really didn’t mean for this to happen! I wasn’t thinking.. I couldn’t think! I was so scared.. I was confused.. I didn’t know.. but oh God Sugizo I’m sorry please don’t leave me!!”

Jiro buried his face in the other man’s chest again, not really crying, since he was still consumed in shock to really cry, just holding onto Sugizo as tightly as he could. There was no way he could let him go.

“ Sugizo?” He spoke quietly. “ Sugizo, please.. say something.”

Sugizo looked down at the head of blond hair, sighing.
“ Jiro… what happened?”

Jiro kept his head low.
“ I honestly don’t know Sugizo.”

“ You still have feelings for him.”

Jiro trembled a bit at those words.

“ I don’t know.” He replied, again honest with his answer. “ I really don’t know.”

“ I can’t be with you if you still have feelings for my brother…I can’t trust him…,” Sugizo let out another sigh, “ .. and I feel as if though I can’t trust you either.”

“ Sugizo..” Jiro shook his head, not wanting to believe what he was hearing. “ No, you can’t say that. Wait, you can. You don’t have any reason to trust me anymore.. but.. but Sugizo, please… don’t leave me.”

“ Why should I stay with you?” Sugizo asked, he, himself not knowing the answer. “ Why should you stay with me anymore? One act could prove millions of unspoken words.”

“ But the words are still needed Sugizo,” Jiro pleaded, he didn’t want to lose what he had now. “ Please, don’t leave me.”

Sugizo sighed; he really didn’t want to give up on Jiro now.. he didn’t want to give up on Jiro ever, really. He loved the young man with all his heart, it was just a matter of finding out if his feelings were returned. Jiro’s feelings seemed to waver whenever Teru was around.. it was becoming a bit difficult having his brother disturb his love life.

“ I don’t know Jiro.” Sugizo shook his head, placing a hand on Jiro’s shoulder. “ If I can’t even leave you alone with him for a day without anything happening between the two of you…”

“ Let me sleep with you.” Jiro said in a rush, cutting off Sugizo’s sentence.

The pink haired man blinked at his lover’s words. He must’ve been hearing wrongly.

“ Excuse me?” Sugizo needed to confirm what he thought he heard.

“ If you don’t mind, let me sleep in your bedroom.” Jiro grasped onto Sugizo’s hands, “ We need more time to really understand each other.. spending the nights together.. falling asleep together.. maybe there will be things to speak of that we would never had thought of!”

Sugizo chuckled lightly, the hand on Jiro’s shoulder patting the area gently.
“ Dear me… I don’t think you even understand what you’re proposing to me, Jiro. Having you sleeping next to me.. I don’t think I’d be able to hold myself.”

Jiro blushed.
“ I wasn’t asking you to hold yourself, Sugizo.”

Sugizo’s eyebrows shot up at the meaning Jiro implied in his words.

“ Ji-Jiro?” He was unsure; surely Jiro wouldn’t suddenly go back on his principles because he had seen him kissing Teru? “ Jiro, are you trying to say.. what I think you’re trying to say?”

The blond nodded, his face becoming as red as a radish. He tried to meet Sugizo’s eyes though, his face earnest, sincere.

“ I want to make love to you.”

Toshiya walked outside the building, his hand itching to have a cigarette in them. He glanced over to one side, wondering if he should make a visit to the café where his beloved imouto was working at the moment.

He contemplated the thought.

‘ What the heck… I need someone to hug me right now.’ Toshiya was about to head off in the direction of the café when a hand caught his shoulder.

Turning around, he was greeted by dark violet hair with equally dark eyes, lips drawn into a half-smile. Wearing a black business suit with a midnight blue tie hanging loosely from his neck, the man gave off a feeling of wealth.

“ Kaoru-san.” Toshiya breathed out the name. He really didn’t want to meet the man at the moment. “ I didn’t know you were here.”

“ Of course you didn’t.” The man gave him a frown. “ And stop calling me ‘Kaoru-san’. You treat me as if though we’ve never met each other before.”

Toshiya fidgeted, throwing his weight from one leg to the other. He wanted Hisashi to appear, now. He didn’t think he could stand being alone with Kaoru. He hadn’t expected to see the man for another year or two!

“ It’s been awhile, that’s all.” Toshiya said, his voice assuring there was nothing wrong.

“ Your eyes look at me differently, Toshiya,” Kaoru’s voice became gentle when speaking the blue head’s name, “ There’s something you’re hiding. It’s either you don’t want to see me or you don’t want someone else to see you with me. Which is it?”

Both, Toshiya wanted to say, but he couldn’t bring himself to say so out loud. Especially since this man had invested so much to bring him to the top. He couldn’t really appear to be ungrateful to Kaoru.

“ It’s nothing, really, Kaoru,” Toshiya gulped, he really wanted to leave! “ I’m just a bit tensed these days I suppose.”

“ I wonder why.” Kaoru’s hands reached up to Toshiya’s shoulders, startling the taller man. “ Relax.. you really *are* tensed.”

Toshiya forced himself to laugh a bit, trying to ignore Kaoru’s hands massaging the knots in his shoulders. He felt his body loosen itself upon Kaoru’s touch and he had to mentally whack himself to keep from practically swooning into the purple head’s arms.

“ I should be going. I’ve only got an hour for break and then I need to meet with some people.” Toshiya said, hoping that he would be rid of the man.

Kaoru shook his head, much to Toshiya’s dismay.
“ I’ve arranged that you have the rest of the day off. I hadn’t seen you for a long time now.. I need to catch up on things with my favorite model.”

An arm around his slim waist, holding him close. Toshiya tried not to wince at the touch, allowing himself to lean on the smaller man slightly. It was a bit uncomfortable to be so rigid when being held so intimately.

“ There *is* something wrong.” Kaoru narrowed his eyes. “ What is it, Toshiya?”

“ Iie, it’s—“

“ Totchi?” A familiar voice called out from behind.

Toshiya braced himself then turned. A smile blew across his face when he saw spiky blue hair on ends. He freed himself from Kaoru’s reach, running into Hisashi’s arms, hugging him close.

Hisashi was surprised but then saw who Toshiya had been with. His own arms wound itself around Toshiya. He glared at Kaoru only to have his glare returned just as heatedly.

“ So, Yumi said that she wouldn’t give up on you?” Shinya sipped at his drink, raising an eyebrow at Die. “ I shouldn’t have left you alone with her.”

“ No, it’s nothing to worry about though. I don’t think she meant anything serious.” Die found himself smiling at Shinya’s worried look. “ It’s not like she could change my mind about you or anything.”

“ I don’t know.. I’m still a bit worried.” Shinya didn’t look too convinced by Die’s words.

“ There’s really no need for you to get worked up about nothing, Shin-chan.” Die grinned as the auburn haired man frowned at the nickname. “ I can take care of myself and you at the same time.”

“ I don’t need anyone to take care of me.” Shinya looked agitated. “ I just don’t want anyone else to have you but me. I don’t want anyone else to have your attention.”

“ That’s really possessive of you,” Die reached out to hold Shinya’s hand in his, “ I didn’t know you had it in you to feel that way.”

“ Well, you *are* mine, right?” Shinya looked worried again, snatching his hand away from Die. “ Right?”

Die caught his hand easily, leaning in to kiss the palm.
“ Of course. I’m yours and yours only.”

~~

Yumi entered the small house, sighing at the disarrayed state it was in. She realized that she wasn’t the only one to be feeling like the world had suddenly dropped on her shoulders. Placing her bag of groceries aside, Yumi straightened the living room where there were plenty of broken glass here and there, strewn clothes, plants, and other items that she couldn’t make out.

Once done, she looked up in the direction of her friend’s bedroom.

“ Ami?” She opened the door slowly, peering inside the room. “ Well, you look worse than death, dear friend.”

“ Thanks a lot, Yumi.” Curls dropped over her small face, knees hugged tightly to her chest, Ami didn’t even look up as her best friend entered her room. “ I was wondering when someone would pay me a visit.”

“ By the look of this place I’m glad that no one did before me.” Yumi said, matter-of-factly. She sat down next to the grief-stricken girl, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder, “ What did Teru do this time?”

Ami shook her head, sobbing. Her face was printed with tear streaks, eyes red from the endless nights of crying.

“ Teru didn’t do anything. It’s me.” Ami sniffed, looking up at the ceiling. “ There’s nothing I can do to ever understand him or really know him. All this while.. I’ve been falling in love with a total stranger.”

“ Oh Ami..,” Yumi leaned over, wrapping both arms around the older girl, “ It’s never your fault. Some things are just not meant to be I guess.”

Ami let herself be held, still sniffling back her tears.
“ I should give up, shouldn’t I? It’s just pointless…”

“ Nothing is ever pointless. You love him.” Yumi rocked them both slowly, her head resting on the crown of messy hair. “ It’s just Teru who doesn’t see it.”

“ I wish I’d never fallen in love with him.” Ami held onto Yumi.” It’s so unfair! I’ve lost to another man! I can’t believe this..”

“ You and I share the same fate.” Yumi said, looking bitter. “ Seems as if though the man I love happens to love another man too.”

Ami rubbed at her nose, drawing back to take a look at Yumi’s depressed face.
“ Oh god.. I’ve been rambling on with my miseries I’ve never really made time for you… What’s happened between you and Die?”

Yumi heaved a sigh, blowing the strands of blond hair hanging over her eyes.
“ I’m fighting a losing battle.. but I need to try. I don’t think I could live with myself if I didn’t even *try* to win him.”

The curly haired girl placed a hand on Yumi’s cheeks, leaning in to kiss lightly on her friend’s forehead.
“ I wish I could do the same. But I’ve already lost my battle, I threw away my second chance.”

“ Ami…”

“ I should stop wallowing in my sadness.” Ami wiped at her eyes roughly with the sleeves of her shirt, “ I need to get a life. See new people. Go to work.”

Yumi gave her a lopsided smile.
“ Well.. our boss has been complaining about your absence.”

Ami managed to laugh.

~~

“ Tono-chan, this is my investor and friend, Niikura Kaoru.” Toshiya lowered his eyes as he spoke his next words, “ Kaoru-san, this is my koibito, Hisashi Tonomura.”

Kaoru raised an eyebrow at the word ‘koibito’ but said nothing to show his anger or confusion. He continued to glare as Hisashi held Toshiya close, looking more than a bit protective of the tall model.

“ Pleased to meet you.” Hisashi managed to say, a total lie, but a polite one at least.

“ Likewise, I’m sure.” Kaoru’s voice was just as icy as Hisashi’s, his eyes narrowing as every second passed. He turned to Toshiya, his smile strained, “ Toshiya and I were just about to leave for lunch. Care to join us?”

‘ What the---‘ Toshiya’s mind became a whirling tornado as Kaoru offered Hisashi to join them.. join them in what? ‘ We had no actual plans!’

“ Tono—“ Toshiya started to speak but Hisashi held up his hand.

“ I’d be delighted to.” Hisashi’s smile leaked with sarcasm. “ Totchi, come on.”

Kaoru’s glare deepened upon hearing the pet name. Hisashi’s fingers held on tightly to Toshiya’s waist, making him wince inwardly.

‘ This is gonna be one loooooong lunch..,’ the blue head couldn’t feel more than a bit tired suddenly.

~~

“ You know, you should start taking passengers.” Shinya said as Die drove them around a corner in his cab. “ You’re gonna get into trouble with work. I shouldn’t be disturbing you.”

“ You’re not disturbing me at all, Shin-chan.” Die grinned at the rearview mirror. “ And don’t worry, as long as you sit in the back seat, no one will flag me. So just enjoy the ride.”

The auburn head frowned.
“ Don’t call me ‘Shin-chan’. And I thought you were driving me to work?”

“ I am…,” Die’s voice became a bit sly as he turned another corner, this time heading towards a rundown building.

“ This isn’t the way.” Shinya said the obvious.

“ I know.” The cab was stopped, the engine died down, and the neighborhood they were in surrounded them with silence. Die looked back at the passenger seat, his smile cheeky, “ I just wanted you to have a little fun before going off to your boring work.”

“ Excuse me?” Shinya let out a surprised yelp when Die suddenly jumped at him from the front seat. “ Die!”

Pinning Shinya against the cushioned back, Die looked down at his lover, smiling.
“ So what do you say?”

Shinya continued to frown.
“ No! You’ve already gotten me to skip work twice! Got me to work late 4 times and now is not going to be the fifth! Get back in the driver’s seat and get me to work!”

Die’s hands slid underneath the shirt Shinya was wearing, making the younger man gasp.
“ Shin-chan, you’re no fun…”

Shinya’s eyes narrowed, ignoring how hard his heart was pounding, how much he yearned to just lean into Die’s touch. He raised his knee to Die’s crotch; Die’s eyes widening at the sudden pain shooting up, releasing his hold on Shinya as he cursed. Shinya took the opportunity to kick open the door and hurry out.

He walked off in a huff, looking more than just a bit pissed off.
“ I should’ve dated a girl… Girls create less troubles than he does…”

“ Shinya, don’t leave!” Die’s voice could be heard from behind.

He rolled his eyes, quickening his steps away from the quiet neighborhood. Die’s voice seemed to echo off the empty buildings, making him shiver. Shinya walked into the crowds just as the red head caught up with him, grabbing his hand and pulling him back.

“ Die, no!” Shinya protested, ignoring the glances people threw at them. “ You’ve got to stop this.. I’m always with you at night, you’ve got to let me go to work.. I can’t start giving myself a bad reputation! I need the money, you also need money! We don’t live in a world where everything is free!”

Die looked hurt.
“ I just wanted to spend some time with you…”

Shinya sighed.
“ That’s fine but just don’t jump me every 2 seconds.. I need some time to breathe too, y’know?”

Die leaned in without warning, kissing the younger man briefly before pulling him into a hug.
“ I’m sorry… I love you.”

Shinya returned the hug, closing his eyes as he breathed in Die’s warm scent that never failed to make him feel so comfortable.

“ I love you too Die, but we can’t spend all our time just making out and getting into each other’s clothes!” Shinya blushed at his words but looked up expectantly at the red head, “ We’ve got to live for real.. I don’t mind you kissing me or.. making love to me but we need to work too, it’s just important to me to stand on my own and..”

“ I understand, Shin-chan, don’t fret.” Die ruffled Shinya’s long waves of hair. “ I didn’t know you took things so seriously..”

“ Well I do.” Shinya pouted.

Die chuckled, placing an arm around Shinya, steering him back into the direction of his cab.
“ Come on.. let me get you to work.”

Shinya smiled as he followed Die but then saw a tuff of blue hair from a distance. He stopped his steps, pointing at one direction to Die.

“ Hey, it’s Toshiya and Hisashi!” He narrowed his eyes. “ Who’s that with them?”

Die’s eyes widened.
“ What Kaoru doing with them?”

~~

Teru watched as Jiro entered the apartment again with his brother, giving him a short glance before entering Sugizo’s room together. Teru sighed, raising a hand to touch his lips; a gesture he’d been doing eversince Jiro had ran out after Sugizo.

‘ What’s this supposed to mean?’ Teru stared at the closed door, wondering if the couple had made up so quickly. ‘ What’s this feeling I have for Jiro… Why does it bother me so much to see him with Sugizo? It’s like I.. but I can’t.. I love.. Totchi…Don’t I?’

Confused, Teru picked up his jacket, running out the door in a hurry.

~~

Jiro looked out the open window, tensing slightly when arms wound around him, relaxing when he remembered that it was Sugizo holding him. He leaned back against the welcoming body, looking up to the calm eyes staring back at him.

“ You look like you’re having second thoughts.”

“ It’s just weird..,” Jiro started, looking out the window again, “ I’ll be making love with my one night stand’s brother.. I just can’t believe how small this world is.”

Sugizo turned the blond around, placing his lips firmly against Jiro’s. The touch was rather chaste at first but the arms that held the smaller man gripped the body tightly as the kiss deepened. Their tongues met in a familiarity that consumed them for a moment, Jiro’s head tilting back slightly so that Sugizo could move his lips down his neck, his teeth lightly grazing the skin above his adam’s apple.

“ Was that weird?” Sugizo asked, his voice low, unbelievably husky as they whispered into the blond’s ear.

“ Far from it.” Jiro took Sugizo’s hands from his waist, placing them at where the buttons of his shirt began. “ Do you mind doing the undressing? My hands are too shaky now to get anything done..”

Jiro’s face blushed a deep red again at his request; his hands trembling against Sugizo’s, proof of his nervous state.

“ I don’t mind at all.”

Sugizo let his hands slide down to just pull the shirt over Jiro’s head. He felt the younger man’s body tremble against his as they were pushed together onto Sugizo’s bed. His long locks of pink hair touched Jiro’s face before he pushed them aside, pressing his lips urgently against Jiro’s, kissing him in reassurance.

“ I promise. I’ll take care of you.” Sugizo whispered, shrugging off his own shirt before undoing the belt of his pants. “ I won’t leave you. I promise.”

Jiro nodded, wondering if he was as nervous as he was now when he had been with Teru. Funny, he couldn’t remember.

“ You won’t hurt me?” Jiro’s voice wavered slightly as he wrapped his arms around Sugizo’s neck.

Sugizo chuckled. He placed a hand over Jiro’s rapidly beating heart.
“ Not here at least.. “

Jiro laughed also, raising his head to kiss the older man on his cheek.
“ You’ll take care of me?”

“ Always.” Sugizo played with the short strands of Jiro’s hair with one hand, the other undoing Jiro’s jeans. “ I never go back on my word. Not with you.”

Jiro nodded again, sighing rapturously as Sugizo’s hand slid underneath his underwear.
“ Ai… Aishiteru…”

No other words could’ve sounded sweeter to Sugizo’s ear.

~~

The trio sat around a table, all quiet with no kind words to really say to each other. An uncomfortable silence hung over them when the waitress had left with their orders.

“ So…, how long have you two been lovers?” Kaoru asked, attempting a conversation, though the topic that he chose was more than just a bit dangerous.

Hisashi smiled, knowing full well where Kaoru was trying to bring the question to.
“ Long enough.”

“ Really?” Kaoru turned to Toshiya who quickly bowed his head. “ I would never have guessed.”

That statement quite ended the conversation and Toshiya thought that maybe the worst was over but it seems as if though he was wrong to even make such an assumption.

“ Would you like to know how long Toshiya and I were lovers?” Kaoru asked, his voice innocent, though his eyes were the exact opposite.

Toshiya did a double-take on the question, staring unbelievingly at the purple head. Kaoru didn’t even glance at him so he turned to his lover, who only fought to keep his own expression impassive. Hisashi ran a hand through his hair, smiling without even trying to.

“ No, I wouldn’t.” Hisashi answered, his hand reaching for Toshiya’s. “ I prefer to only know Totchi’s history with me.”

Toshiya felt like throwing a celebration at Hisashi’s answer.

‘ He didn’t pursue it! I can’t believe it!” Toshiya looked as if he would kiss the spiky head at any moment.

“ Of course,” Kaoru chuckled, this time throwing a glance at the model then holding his gaze, “ I wouldn’t want to know why my lover kept another behind my back either.”

“ I wouldn’t say that if I were you.” Hisashi positively growled. “ I don’t take kindly to people who talk badly of Totchi.”

Toshiya gripped onto Hisashi’s hand, Kaoru’s gaze was making him nervous as a wreck.

“ I’m not talking badly about ‘Totchi’.” Kaoru averted his eyes to hold Hisashi’s glare. “ I don’t blame him at all.. The only person I’d blame would be the one who interupted us.”

Toshiya raised his eyes to the heavens praying,
‘ God, someone, please help me!’
