Author: Malia Sabishisa  (visit my site!  http://www.oocities.org/jrock_cage/ )
Pairings: Shinya+Kyo, Kyo+Totchi
Warnings:  um, none really…slight language maybe?
Explanation:  I found out that the Japanese mafia (yeah there’s really a mafia in Japan) is called Yakuza.  So if I start saying Yakuza instead of the usual words I’ve been using like the ‘establishment’ and ‘my boys’ etc, don’t be surprised.  Oh, and sorry it took so long!  ^_^;;  I lost the paper I’d written the story outline on and for a while I thought I would have to delete this fic!!  I was sooo happy when I found that paper ^__^;;  Oh, and someone asked me why I named the guy Keisuke….  Well, its cause I was thinking of a name while I was reading a Fushigi Yuugi manga and I decided that I’d open it, point and whoever my finger landed on was the name he’d get.  And it landed on Keisuke.  Kinda glad it didn’t land on someone weird like Taiitsukun….

/a week later/

Shinya looked up at the buildings as he walked down the busy streets of Tokyo.  ‘It was so crowded out here,’ he thought.  ‘I’d much rather be back at home with Kyo. He’s probably still sleeping peacefully.’  Thinking of the blonde reminded him that he had a phone call he needed to make.  He moved away from the sidewalk to lean against a building as he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket.  He dialed the number and glanced around him just once to gauge how quiet he’d have to talk in order not to be overheard.  The phone only rang once before it was answered.

“Moshi moshi,” chimed a happy female voice.  It was Kaoru’s new secretary.  The last one had gotten too nosy and disappeared.  Kaoru had done a much better job in choosing this one.  She seemed too stupid to ask questions.

“Moshi moshi,” he responded after a slight pause.  “Shinya desu.  I need to speak with Leader-sama.”

“I’m sorry, but he’s very busy with our electronic developer.”

“Just tell him it’s Shinya.  He’ll always take phone calls from me.”

“Sir, I can’t –“

“Just do it!”

“Ah….hai, hold on a second.”

Shinya sighed as the annoying hold music came across the phone.  He’d have to remind Kaoru to get rid of that horrible music.  ‘And just what the hell did she mean by electronic developer,’ he wondered, tapping his foot impatiently.

“Shinya-san, gomen,” Kaoru answered, just as Shinya was about to put his phone away.  “She’s new and I must have forgotten to tell her which calls to always accept.”

“Iie, I understand, Kaoru-sama.  I just needed to ask you something before I forgot.  My club is closed tonight, as you remember.”  He’d told Kaoru about Toshiya’s killing that would-be assassin.  Surprisingly, Kaoru wasn’t as mad as Shinya expected him to be.

“Hai.  And my opinion hasn’t changed.  Do not punish Toshiya for that.  Give him time to cool off, but don’t give up on him completely.  He has to learn control, but his actions show that he is very devoted.”

“Hai, but I called to ask if your club would be open tonight.  Kyo-chan wants to go and he’s been bugging me endlessly about it.”

“Kyo-san, ne……  Hai, it’s fine.  I’ll be at the door personally tonight so you won’t have any problems getting him in.”

“Hounto,” Shinya gasped, forgetting for a moment to keep his voice down.  “Kaoru-sama, are you sure that’s safe?”

“Oh, I won’t be recognized.  I’ll be testing out this new invention called a particle screen.”

“The ‘electronic developer’…”

“Hai.  He’s quite good.  As long as I have it on, I look completely different and it’s undetectable by any form of surveillance or human eyes.  Oi, I have to go now Shinya.  We aren’t quite finished here.”

“Ganbatte, Kaoru-sama.”  Shinya collapsed his phone and put it back in his pocket.  Kyo would be happy when Shinya got back to tell him the good news.

~*~*~

Hounto ni?!,” Kyo shouted, bouncing up off the bed, his earlier sleepiness completely forgotten.  “He’s gonna let me go?”

Shinya smiled and leaned up against the door frame.  “Hai.  We’ll be leaving at 11 tonight.  I’ll be back around 10, so be ready to go by then, ne?”

“Hai!”  Kyo threw himself at Shinya and hugged him tightly.  Shinya placed a small kiss on his cheek and pulled away.

“I’ve got to go.  I’m late as it is and I’m not out to be any later.  Don’t forget to be ready by 10.  Ittemarimasu.”

“Itterasshai, Shin-chan!”  Kyo flopped down on the bed, waiting for the sound of Shinya closing the door, then grabbed the phone beside the bed.

“Totchi,” he practically yelled before the other man could barely mutter moshi-moshi, “I’m in!  We’re going to Kaoru’s club tonight!!”

“We,” Toshiya repeated, nearly choking on the food he was eating.  “You mean me and you?!”

“Iie, Baka-chan!  Me and Shinya.  We leave at 10 tonight.   Is Keisuke ready?”

“Hai, new look and everything.  I dyed his hair black and gave him a normal haircut.  He’s not happy about it, but he’ll be okay.  He’s still gonna help us out.”

Kyo paused, thinking he’d heard something.  He ignored it and pulled his knees up to his chest, looking out the window beside him.  “Totchi, do you really think we can do this?  I mean, this is a really big establishment we’re trying to ruin…..”  Kyo trailed off as he finally caught sight of a pink-haired man leaning against the door just as Shinya had been doing moments before.  ‘Shit, it’s Kaoru!  How much did he hear,’ Kyo thought, his mind panicking.  He placed his hand over the phone’s mouthpiece and smiled nervously at Kaoru.  “Just a second, Leader-sama.”

“Leader-sama,” Toshiya screeched in his ear.  Kyo ignored it.

“Listen To--….  Um, I’ll call you back.”  Not waiting for a response, he hung up and prayed that Toshiya wouldn’t call back.  He scrambled up off the bed and bowed low to Kaoru.  “Konnichiwa, Leader-sama.”

“Konnichiwa.”   Kaoru didn’t move or speak after that one word; he just stood there, his arms crossed over his chest, his dark eyes studying Kyo.  The blonde shifted nervously while his mind raced.

Gods, how much did he hear?!  Oh shit…me and my big mouth’s gonna get me killed before we even have a chance to get this thing started!  Fuck, fuck, fuck!!  Damnit, Kaoru just say something before I go nuts!!

As if reading his mind, Kaoru finally spoke again.  “Where’s Shinya-san?”

“Anou…..I don’t know.  He just left.  I’m surprised you didn’t pass him in the hall.”

The room went silent again.

He’s gonna shoot me….I just know he’s gonna shoot me.’

Kaoru stood up and slowly walked closer to Kyo, still studying him closely.  Kyo couldn’t help but think of a panther.  Kaoru moved like one and at the moment, with his eyes flashing danger, he looked like one too.  ((Sabishisa : I have a pic that made me think this exact same thing….see it here.  And for the fanfiction.net people copy and paste this:  www.oocities.org/malias_direngrey_shrine/deg-kaoru3.jpg ))  He stopped, his body only a few inches from Kyo’s.  The blonde could feel the heat from Kaoru’s body.

Kaoru reached up and tilted Kyo’s head back.  He looked directly into his eyes while his other hand trailed along Kyo’s cheek.

Or maybe he’s gonna kiss me....’  Kyo wanted to move back, but Kaoru’s gaze held him motionless.  He titled Kyo’s head to the left, than straight again, his eyes locked on the smaller man.  He traced Kyo’s full lips with his thumb with a light, gentle touch.

Oh fuck, now I know he’s gonna kiss me.’  Kyo felt his lips curl into a small smile.  It wasn’t like he was entirely against the idea…  Kaoru’s presence was like that of a god and Kyo was finding it rather erotic.

As soon as he decided he wouldn’t mind letting Kaoru kiss him, the other man pulled away and took a few steps back.  Kyo’s breath whooshed out of him… he hadn’t realized he’d forgot to breathe.

“Tell Shinya-san I came by when he comes to pick you up tonight,” Kaoru said.  “I’ll explain everything to him at the club tonight.”

Kyo nodded and bowed, still at a loss for words.  Kaoru gazed at him a moment longer, then turned abruptly and left.  Kyo sighed and reached for the phone again.

“Totchi, I’m coming over in a few minutes,” he said, struggling to talk on the phone and get dressed at the same time.  “I’ve got to tell you what just happened to me.”

~*~*~

Kaoru sat in his car, looking up at the window of Shinya’s room.  ‘That Kyo….  He’s a nice catch but there’s something that nags me about him.  That conversation I overheard…  this is a big establishment we’re trying to ruin  And he was so nervous; just like I’d caught him doing something.’

Kaoru shook his head and started the car.  It was a silly idea.  Kyo was Shinya’s lover.  It was just too far-fetched to think he’d be up to something suspicious.

But still….’  Kaoru glanced back over his shoulder at the bedroom window.  ‘I don’t trust him.’

Kyo smiled brightly as he bounced into the club right behind Shinya.  They guy at the door simply nodded and stepped back, allowing them to pass.  “They were expecting you,” Shinya explained.  He led Kyo to the bar and ordered them two drinks.  The music seemed to throb through everything in the room.  Kyo couldn’t help but sway in his seat as he watched Shinya sip on his drink.  Unable to stand it much longer, he leaned over to Shinya and shouted over the music.

“Shin-chan, I want to dance!  Onegai!”

Shinya glanced at him.  “Go ahead.  I don’t mind.”

“But I wanna dance with you!”

Shinya shook his head.  “I’m waiting for someone.  And I never dance.  Go on and enjoy yourself.  And don’t be shocked at how close people get with you.  Everyone here is like lovers.  As long as your body stays mine, you can play all you want.”

“Hounto?”  Kyo was obviously excited by this.  He didn’t wait for an answer and skipped off to the middle of the dance floor.  No one really seemed to be dancing with one specific partner, so he just hopped in and joined.  It didn’t take him long to have a crowd around him, all moving to one beat, sliding against each other sensually.  A few of the dancers asked his name in a sexy whisper and he answered in the same tone.  He was breathing heavily by the time he decided to take a break.  He glanced at the bar, but Shinya was already gone.  A bald guy touched his arm and smiled gently.

“Join us in the back, ne?  You can come as my guest.”

Kyo threw one glance back at the bar, and not seeing Shinya anywhere, nodded and allowed the guy to lead him to the back room.

~*~*~

Kaoru narrowed his eyes as one of the regulars led Kyo to the glass room in the back.  It wasn’t exactly private, seeing as how everyone could see in it, but only certain people were ever allowed in.  For Kyo to go there his first night said something….  And something that made Kaoru suspicious.  Not that he wasn’t already suspicious from the half conversation he’d heard earlier.  ‘There’s just something about him…..  He wiggles his way into everything so easily…’

He sighed, as the bald guy who’s name he’d long since forgotten hugged up to Kyo and whispered something in his ear that made the blonde turn bright red.  The other man laughed at his reaction, but kept on moving closer.  It was obvious Kyo had him wrapped around his little finger already.

I can’t sit back and watch this…  I know there’s something going onI just know itI’ve seen guys like him before and they all do the same thing.’  Kaoru’s eyes drifted to Shinya who was running his finger slowly around the edge of his glass.  ‘He’s too close to Kyo to ask him to look into itI’ll have to do this one myself.’

Sighing, Kaoru put down the rag he’d been using to wipe the water ring off the bar with.  “Damn people can’t figure out how to use a friggin’ coaster…,” he muttered.

Shinya glanced up.  “Nani?”

“Nothing.  Um, I have business to take care of.  I’ll send another bartender in a second, but do you think you can kind of keep an eye on the place.  You’ve got my cell number, ne?”

Shinya nodded.  “Hai.  I’ll stay and keep watch.  I’ll let Kyo know and he can help me too.”

“I’d rather you not.  I don’t want anyone to know I’m not here.”

“But we can trust Kyo.”

“Just…  Don’t tell anyone, not even Kyo, you got it?”

Shinya nodded and bowed in apology.  “Gomen nasai.  Hai.”

Kaoru nodded and put the rag away, motioning for one of the dancers, his original bartender, to come back to his duties.  He threw a final suspicious glance at Kyo before leaving.  He got in his car and headed for Shinya’s headquarters.
