BIOGRAPHY FOR CORBIN

Corbin Allred is the second oldest of four siblings. He was born on May 25, 1979 and was raised in Salt Lake City, where he graduated from Hillcrest High School. Corbin started his career as a performer on his own two feet. That is, he began dance training at a very young age, specializing in "clogging" and ballroom, in his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. At age 13, on a lark, he answered an open casting call for "A Far Off Place," a feature about children on an adventure in Africa. His role was changed to a female character, so he didn't get the part, but the casting director persuaded Allred to give show business a shot.

Though skeptical, they made the trip to L.A. and within two days, Corbin landed an agent; within a month, he won the lead role in the film, "Quest of the Delta Knights." He hasn't stopped working since. He has appeared on the big screen in films such as the "Josh Kirby: Time Warrior" series, "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," directed by Mel Brooks, "Address Unknown," and the direct-to-video "No Dessert, Dad, 'Til You Mow the Lawn." For television, he has guest starred in the series Step by Step, Saved by the Bell: The New Class, and California Dreams and in the telefilms "My Son is Innocent" and "Blue Rodeo" with Ann-Margaret. Allred landed his first series-regular role in 1997's UPN comedy "Social Studies." He starred last season in "Teen Angel", on ABC's TGIF line-up. Since then, he has guest starred on Touched By An Angel, and Sabrina, the Teen Age Witch. He has also appeared in some Red Lobster commercials. He is going to appear in "Anywhere But Here" which stars Susan Sarandon and Natalie Portman, and he stars in "Diamonds," with Kirk Douglas and Dan Akroyd. These movies will be coming out during the next year.

Despite the work schedule, Corbin has never neglected his education. He recently graduated from high school and has already started taking college courses. Corbin will be serving his church on a mission in Australia for the next two years. He likes go to mountain biking, fly fishing, playing guitar and enjoys pencil sketching. As much as possible, he welcomes the opportunity to become involved in community volunteer projects. An avid rock-climber, Allred takes off whenever he can to scale spectacular sites all over the west.
