Stewart Ward and Louisa Mae Smith Ward, Stewart is the son of Robert Ward and Elizabeth Blount, Louisa is the daughter of Warren Adam Smith and Asenath Adams.

They are the parents of Elizabeth Ann Ward who married Ephraim Ashcraft. Louisa's grandfather Heman Adams was in the revolutionary war. She is decended through Henry Adams and Edith Squire of Massachuttes.  Henry and Edith Squire are also the ancestor's of Presidents John Adams, John Quincy Adams, William Howard Taft, Calvin Coolidge.  Stewart and Louisa are my great great  great grandparents. Stewart was born in January 11, 1820 Preble Co., Ohio, died February 2, 1899 buried in Jasper Co., Indiana  and Louisa was born October 17, 1824 Butler Co., Ohio d July 19, 1913 buried in Jasper Co., Indiana. Her mother Asenath Adams Smith is buried in Glass Cemetery, Decatur Co., Indiana, Warren is buried in Butler Co., Ohio.
Ephraim Ashcraft  b December 7, 1841 in Decatur County, Indiana married Elizabeth Ann Ward, daughter of Stewart Ward and Louisa Mae Smith. Ephraim was in the Civil war, wounded at Gettysburg. According to his granddaughter Sophia Eller, he was wounded in the shoulder. Ephraim is the son of Evan Ashcraft and Minerva Demaree
Lillian Ashcraft, Martha Ashcraft and Sophia Ashcraft, daughter's of Ephraim Ashcraft and Elizabeth Ann Ward.  Lillian died soon after this picture was taken, picture was taken about 1885. Elizabeth Ann Ward is the daughter of Stewart Ward and Louisa Mae Smith. Sophia Ashcraft married Oliver Cromwell Toney.
