Halloweenies

Save those toliet paper rolls!
They can be used for a million things.

Halloween Spider

Egg cartons
Black pipe cleaners cut in smaller pieces
Wiggle eyes
Hole puncher

Cut out each section of the egg carton.
Have kids use hole puncher to punch eight holes
all around the bottom of their cut out section.
Place a pipe cleaner in each hole and twist to secure.
Bend down to look like legs.
Glue wiggle eyes on to each spider.

Face Paint

1 tsp. corn starch
1/2 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. cold cream
Food coloring

Stir together starch and cold cream until blended.
Add water and stir. Add food coloring.
Removes with soap and water.
Store in airtight container.

Halloween Bat

Use a toliet paper roll for a bat.
Let kids cut pieces of brown and black paper
for ears wings and feet. Glue them on and
and add features of face with a felt-tipped pen.

Pine Cone Owl

Let kids cut pieces of paper into
beaks, feet and large round eyes.
Glue to pine cone.

Grocery Bag Mask

Your local grocery will probally donate
these bags. Ask them when you take your kids
in for a store field trip. They can't refuse then!
Cut sections from a large brown sack to fit over
shoulders. Slip bag over head and mark where the eyes
should be. Remove bag and cut holes for eyes. Decorate with
pens, crayons or glue on pieces of construction paper.

Witch Mobile

Cut three orange circles and one black triangle
from construction paper. You might let the kids trace
them from a cardboard model then cut them out.
Tape or glue a piece of string or yarn between the circles.
Draw a face on and lay pieces of yarn near top of head for hair.
Glue on triange so it holds the hair down. Attach a string at the
top to hang it with.
