TEN IN A BED

We sing this while laying on mats on the floor.
I tap a child each time we sing "fell out".
The verses stay the same the way we have played it.
This version you can play while standing in circle
and acting out the motions or sing with a flannel board story with figures.

There were ten in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were nine in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one jumped out.
There were eight in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one bumped out.
There were seven in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one hopped out.
There were six in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one skipped out.
There were five in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one sneaked out.
There were four in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one backed out.
There were three in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one crawled out.
There were two in the bed and the little one said,
"Roll over, roll over."
So they all rolled over and one twirled out.
There was one in the bed and the little one said,
"Goodnight!"
