Here I Am!

I have grade 3 (the highest grade) sertificate in Yamaha Classical Guitar Examination, but also play non-classical music and arranged popular songs for classical guitar. Some of the pieces I've arranged had helped me won the Yamaha Indonesia Guitar Festival in free section or non-classical section (1987, 1992, 1994, and 1995).

My formal education and is not related with guitar. I'm graduated from Faculty of Social & Political Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, majoring on Criminology. Since 1990 I'm working as reporter, editor, and managing editor at NOVA, a weekly tabloid for women in Indonesia. From July 2003 I've resigned from my job as journalist to be a guitar player and guitar teacher.

Since August 2005 I had join Punakawan Quartet together with Jaya Suprana (pianoforte), Heru Kusnadi (bass), and Junaedi Musliman (percussion). We had touring through cities in Indonesia and Australia performing Indonesia folk music. You can read some media reviews of the group below.

On October 2005 I had my book Gitarpedia (a practical dictionary for guitarists, in Indonesian language) get published.
