Looking back upon the proud history of the DPRK which marks its 60^th birthday, the south Korean people are ardently praising the great feats performed by President Kim Il Sung who built the independent socialist state where the working people became the masters of the state and society for the first time in the 5,000-year-long history of the nation, and leader Kim Jong Il who is glorifying the DPRK as eternal Korea of Kim Il Sung true to the President’s cause of nation-building.

Some days ago, a south Korean archive agency made public 650-odd photos and 17-hour video materials dealing with the revolutionary activities of the President from the country’s liberation (August 15, 1945) to the year of 1956.

The people from different social strata, filled with admiration, said that these are the precious historic materials of President Kim Il Sung to be handed down along with the national history, and retrospected to the undying exploits of the President who carved out the untrodden road for building a new country including the establishment of the people's government and the democratic reforms.

The chairman of the Daejeon society for correct understanding of north Korea, who sponsored an exhibition of north Korean photos in celebration of the September 9, said that whenever they greet the foundation day of the DPRK, a landmark event in the national history, they review in deep emotion the proud course of north Korea which has displayed the nation’s dignity and honor throughout the world.

He praised that in all times and places there is no such a country as north Korea that brought about the world-startling miracles and built a people's paradise in a short span of time after the founding of the republic.

South Korean dailies and magazines including Hankyereh and Mal carried every year the President’s photos and write-ups praising that “the founding of the DPRK is a remarkable event of emergence of a genuine people-centered government for the first time in history”, “President Kim Il Sung is the sun of the nation who built the people’s welfare state unknown to the world” and “the President’s life is the history of the sun adorned with the exploits of nation-building for the people's happiness”.

At a seminar under the subject “Songun Politics and the Future of the Nation”, members of the Society of Patriotic Comrades unanimously stressed that the DPRK founded by President Kim Il Sung is now blowing the boom of building a thriving nation and shedding its rays under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, and all the achievements of north Korea are the brilliant fruition of the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.

Internet homepages of south Korea are posting write-ups such as “No one can provoke the dignity of the DPRK safeguarded by arms of Songun” and “Thanks to leader Kim Jong Il the DPRK is shining century by century and the country’s reunification will surely come true”.

Really, the dignity of the DPRK shining along with the august name of President Kim Il Sung renders a firm conviction of the bright future of a reunified thriving nation to the south Korean people.
