Greeting the New Year the south Korean people, who revere Kim Jong Il as the father of the nation and the lodestar of national reunification, earnestly wish the safety and good health of him who devotes all his heart and soul for the country’s reunification.

An organization of Seoul National University said in its publication;

“Leader Kim Jong Il revered by all people is the destiny of the 70 million fellow countrymen and the lodestar of national reunification. His safety and good health are the greatest joy and happiness and the biggest wish of the fellow countrymen.

In this significant moment greeting the New Year’s Day we reverentially extend the best wish to leader Kim Jong Il.”

It stroke the public with admiration.

At a meeting for extending the New Year greetings to leader Kim Jong Il members of the Patriotic Youth Society for Reunification said as follows.

Leader Kim Jong Il is the supreme incarnation of moral obligation who ensured that President Kim Il Sung is held in high esteem and his history is flowing forever, and genius of creation and construction who led the DPRK to be a world power in politics, idea and military amidst the international political upheaval. He also is the peerless patriot and most brilliant commander who smashed the offensive of the imperialist reactionary forces and creditably safeguarded the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation.

We all should reverentially make a deep bow of wishes to leader Kim Jong Il, the sun and destiny of the nation.

And the patriotic people of south Korea harden their pledge of faith to make efforts in the new year, too, for realizing the country’s reunification at an early date under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, earnestly wishing his security and good health.

They say that thanks to the Songun politics of leader Kim Jong Il our nation could greet the New Year with the conviction and hope of reunification. They assert unanimously that supporting Kim Jong Il’s intention and defending his Songun politics is the way for the life of the compatriots and the welfare of the nation.

In the New Year, too, the south Korean people will accelerate the struggle for independence, democracy and reunification under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, holding him in high esteem as the sun of the nation and the lodestar of reunification.
