My name is Alice, I am a 18 year old girl from Brazil. I live in a city called Porto Alegre, that's located in the south of my country. I am a student born under the sign of Capricorn. I love my family, languages, knowing about other countries' traditions, maps, weekends and autumn. And I hate politicians, hot summers, feeling lazy and Chemistry.

As you could see from the links on the main page, I am really crazy about the world's most popular sport: football. I am especially crazy about the Italian team Juventus, and players Alessandro Del Piero and Hernán Crespo. But we'll get to that soon.

Another sport that I like watching is volleyball. It may seem boring because the plays are always the same, but it is a very exciting sport! I follow the Brazilian male national team since 1992, when the guys won the gold medal in the Barcelona Olympic Games. They are very very good!! Our female team is great, too, and also beach volleyball duos (but I am not into beach volleyball). I also support the Spanish male team, and really like to watch when the Dutch, Cubans, Italians and Argentines are playing.

Everybody likes music and I am no exception. I am nuts about mostly all kinds of music in Spanish, but I also like some Italian artists. Right now, I'm probably listening to either Spanish or Italian music!! I like dance music very much, and techno, too. I enjoy some old music, because of the strong influence of my father: stuff like Beatles, Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young... What I don't like is Brazilian music. I am sorry but I simply can't enjoy pagode, samba, axé, and most of our pop music, too. However, I do like some stuff of our music: some of the funk music that we have are pretty funny and cool.

Movies, I like them but not as much as I used to some years ago. I liked movies as much as I like football nowadays! You will probably never see me entering enter a theater that's playing "Scream" or "I know what you did last summer", I don't like bloody movies (although I did like the Gladiator movie). I prefer the comedies, be them "intelligent" or nonsense.

As you read on the first paragraph, I love other countries' cultures. If I could, I would visit every corner of this planet to know the people and how they live and all of this stuff. Maybe this is why I like the languages, because it's a practical aspect of the traditions of a people. But I know that you are probably not interested in reading about this, because if you were, you would have looked for a page ONLY about this, right? =) So let's move on.

Ahhh, the football... is there anything better than sitting in front of the tv, wearing your team's jersey, and see them play well and win, with your fave player scoring? Little things in this world can compare to this feeling!

My passion started during the 1998 World Cup, because before that, I didn't care at all about football. Really, I didn't. Besides supporting Juventus from Italy, I also like Internacional, that is a team from my city. Falcão ("The king of Rome") and Christian (currently at Paris Saint-Germain) played here. We also had other great players like Gamarra, Taffarel, Elias Figueroa.

Now comes something that I like to talk about. The players!! But let me tell you that I have a theory for the female fans of football and the men that say that women watch football only to see the players' legs: it's not true.

Being a girl and enjoying the game itself, players are a "plus" to the female fans. If you really don't enjoy the game itself, it is simply impossible to watch a game just for the players, you're surely gonna sleep!! On the other hand, by not liking it, you are not gonna waste your time watching the matches. Therefore, you will never be able to find the beauties that kick, pass, score, defend, run and unfortunately, sometimes, spit and umm... feel itchy... (they are humans afterall) and that appear on the world's many football stadiums.
