Chocolate chip cookies
24 servings
Prep time: 15 minutes, cook time: 12 minutesIngredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 ½ (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
½ cup butter
1 ¼ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips (I recommend 16 oz. of Hershey’s semisweet chocolate chips, it comes in a package)Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
In the microwave or over a double boiler, melt the unsweetened chocolate and butter together, stirring occasionally until smooth. In a bowl, beat sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light. Stir in the chocolate mixture until well blended. Stir in the sifter ingredients alternately with the sour cream then fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an unpreparated cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes.
