Project: Rose's Jump Dress
Pattern: McCall's 2035 or Simplicity 8399
Fabric: I did buy Some Point D' Espirit in 2001 thinking that I was going to make the gown from 8399.
Status: Found McCall's 2035 and now I just needSimplicity 8399 and modify that.
This really never used to be a dress that I like. But I'm coming around to like it. I'm just not a fan of red, and I'm not sure if I like the look and style of the dress. I again  feel that it is apart of her ensemble that it should be made anyways. I was told that they used a zipper in the back (which is not period correct) so I don't feel bad for using a zipper for this dress.
The only concerns that I have when I make it is the beading, and the construction of the gown,  where every detail goes, and where am Im going to find the material and what do I look for. I really would like to bead it but I have no idea how to do so and I would be willing to try. . I have herd that with the beading it makes the dress heavier. In my opinion I think it would be worth it to bead it at least once just so I can say that I have done so and to have it almost authentic.
If I have beaded it once I would not bead it again, and just adjust what I have already.
