Horr stadium, named after a social-democrat politician, is a bit odd. Despite being the regular venue for FK Austria's home matches, it is relatively small and in most parts old or primitive (like the East Stand).
The reason for this situation is that Vienna's huge Ernst Happel-Stadium was the main focus for the club's officials. Now, the tiny ground with its good atmosphere (as a pure football stadium) and its brand new South stand, has the attention of the clubs current officials and will be expanded to a capacity of about 18000 seaters within the next 10? years. |
