The above photo(tin plate type)was taken about 1857-1860. We are quite sure it was taken in Oakville, Live Oak County, TX. at a wedding ceremony. The only information we have about this picture is the men in it were called the "Wilburn" brothers. This photo and information was passed down from Elizabeth Wilburn Torres, to her husband Jose, to their son Miguel, and to Miguel's daughter Isabel Torres.

We believe they may be Richard Brown Wilburn's brothers and half brothers. If they are they could be Ebeneezer, James, Thomas, Max, John, and Richard himself. Also, there is a good possibility that Dr. Marvel E. McNeill is in this picture since he married Elizabeth Permelia Wilborn (sister)in Live Oak County, TX in January 1857. We believe the young Richard Brown Wilburn may be the one in the front-center.
