Session 3

At the completion of this course session, the student will be able to:

  1. Review mathematical principles. (C-1:1-4.1)

  3. Calculate intravenous infusion rates for adults, infants, and children. (C-2:1-4.3)
  4. Discuss medical asepsis and the differences between clean and sterile techniques. (C-1:1-4.4)
  5. Describe use of antiseptics and disinfectants. (C-1:1-4.5)
  6. Serve as a model for medical asepsis. (A-3:1-4.11)
  7. Demonstrate proper medical aseptic technique.
  8. Recall a brief overview of the levels of organization of the body from simplest to most complex (cell to organism).
  9. State the reading and homework assignment for the next class session.
