1963 AUGUSTA COMMUNITY LIVESTOCK ASSOCIATION
My dad, Wilfred L. Bowles, was a director of the fair board and superintendent of the Swine Department. In 1963 a new hog barn was built on the fairgrounds to his specifications. He was very proud of it. Unfortunately it burned to the ground a few years later.
I believe it was Mr. Dennis who kept up the flower beds on the fairgrounds during this period of time.
