Proddatur.
One of the biggest business and trading centers in the state, Proddutur is also a famous pilgrimage destination as a number of important temples are situated here.
Prominent among these are the Rameswaram Temple and the Agasteeswara temple which believed to have been consecrated by Lord Rama and Sage Agasthya
respectively.
There is also famous Mukti Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple on the bank of Penna near Rameswaram of this town which is very famous built by Sri Krishnadevaraya.The "Kanyaka Parameswary" temple with its ornate carvings; its tall turrent is one of the popular attractions of the place.
