Dr Francois Duvalier (14/04/1907-21/04/1971) with buster overprint and dated 07/02/1986, celebrating the fall of the Duvalier rules in Haiti.
It is believed that this overprint was done in the United States mainly by Haitian exiles opposed to the Papa Doc's regime. I am not sure as to how many pieces were overprinted. This figure is still in dispute, but it is believed in excess of few hundred pieces. I am not surprise if they are still making this overprint, after all it's now getting popular among collectors. However one thing for sure is that the overprint was done mostly on the 'S' prefix notes.

The Duvalier era started in 1957 when Dr. François Duvalier ("Papa Doc") won the Haitian general election and became the country's President and later President for Life from 1964. He died in office on 21/04/1971 and he was then succeeded by his son, Jean-Claude Duvalier ("Baby Doc"), who was then only 19 years old, thus became the world youngest President at that time. Following a popular uprising in 1986, he was overthrown as President and forced to exile to France, thus ending the Duvalier family 29 years rule in Haiti. The Duvaliers rule (both father and son) marked by autocracy, corruption, and reliance on private armies to maintain power.
