| Nicolae Grigorescu was born on 15/05/1838 in Pitaru, Dāmbovita County as the sixth child of a family of peasants and died on 21/07/1907. He was one of the founders of modern Romanian painting. During his life time, he produced several well known paintings such as Pescarita la Grandville (1884), Taranca voiasa (1894), Car cu boi (1899) and many more. | ||
