The Lake

The Dolphlutter appears in the water by the shore, just before you. "Hi, I'm Clea!" She says happily. Then, giggling, she dives back into the water and swims away. Blinking, you shrug it off and look back to the center of the lake,  seeing a line of blue and white fins disappearing under the water. Watching that spot of the water carefully, you are startled to see two shining yellow eyes peer at you from under the water.

You jump as you hear Clea's voice. "That is Charles," she says rather quietly. You turn to see that she is once again in the water near you. "He is a sea serpent...he hardly ever comes out, your lucky to have seen him at all." You glance back at the water...Charles is no longer there. Looking back at Clea, you ask "Are you the only two living here?" "No," she replies, and calls in a sweet voice "Linda...!" Suddenly a baby hippocampus swims to the surface.

You step out onto a large land of grass. Looking around, you notice that the entire center of the land is a huge lake. Unlike at the mountains, you see no creatures waiting for your arrival, so you step up to the lake, peering into it's deep waters. Suddenly you hear a splash, and look up just in time to see a rare Dolphlutter leap from the middle of the lake, showing off it's beautiful wings, then disappearing back underwater.

"Yes?" the hippocampus asks quietly. "We have a visitor," Clea says. "Oh..hi," Linda says with a smile. "Did you get to see Charles?" You nod. "Your lucky. Most people don't....well, I must be off now," she says, and, winking to you, she disappears under the water. "She's kinda shy," Clea explains. "I must go now too, though," Clea says, and quickly disappears. Blinking, you turn to leave...but a voice calls "Wait..!" You turn to see a strange but beautiful creature in the water.

"Hi," she says. "I'm Tossi!" You smile, walking to the water again. "Hi Tossi. Why'd you call me?" "Oh," she says, "I just like to tell all the visitors hi. Oh, would you like to meet my friend Joho?" "Sure," you say. "Oh Joohoooooo," she calls, and a horse like creature emerges from the water.

"Yes?" he asks. "We have a visitor," Tossi says, nodding towards you. Joho looks at you. "Oh, hi! I'm Joho. How are you?" "I'm fine, thanks," you say. "Are you the last ones here?" "There are more on the right side of the lake." "Alright, bye," you say, turning and going to the right side of the lake.
