Humanity

By Kali Gargoyle

***

Sometimes I wish I could be human.

Do you now?

Yeah, then I wouldn't need to hide from the world.

It would be so much easier than my life now.

Would it?

I could go up and walk around freely,

And people wouldn't run and scream at the sight of me.

They wouldn't be trying to kill me.

You are a ninja.

They wouldn't point and call us names.

I'd no longer be the recipient of their bigotry.

Prejudice. Hate. Narrow-mindedness.

These are the dominant traits of humanity.

And you want to be just like us…

On second thought…screw humanity.
