1/4 cup apple juice
4 teasp. brown sugar
1 tsp. margarine or butter
Dash ground nutmeg
2 large bananas, sliced
( about 1 3/4 cups)
1 TBLSP. rum
1 cup vanilla or coffee
low-fat or light ice cream or frozen yogurt
In a medium pan combine
the apple juice, brown sugar, margarine or butter, and nutmeg.
Heat just to boiling.
Add sliced banana's, toss to coat. Heat through. Stir in the rum.
Serve banana mixture
over the ice cream.
Microwave Directions;
In a 1-qt. microwavable-safe
bowl combine the apple juice, brown sugar, margarine or butter,
and nutmeg. Microwave,
uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 1 minute.
Add the sliced bananas;
toss to coat. Microwave on high power for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or
until the bananas are
heated through; stir in the rum.
Serve over ice cream.
