Name: Mariemaia Kushrenada (Barton)
Gundam: She doesn't have one, but she has an entire army. That's just as good, right?
Nickname: None (Boy does she need one though, that name is really quite a mouthful.)
Age: I'm not sure. I think she's around 7 or 8, but I don't remember.
Nationality: Don't know.
Job: Carrying on 'her father's wishes'.
Family: She's Treize's daughter.
Friends: She doesn't really have any in Endless Waltz. Her grandfather is just manipulating her, and Relena is anything but her friend. Lady Une is the only person who really seems to care for her (even taking care of her after the war is over), but they don't even meet until near the end.
Abilities: I swear there is not a kid on the face of the planet who can say, "I shall rule the world" and sound anywhere near as adorable as Mariemaia.
Random babbling: I love Mariemaia! She is one of my favorite characters in the movie! She's just so cute! hehe. It's hard to really feel sorry for her until the end of the movie. Although she's beening controlled by her grandfather (Dekim Barton) the entire time, she is completely obvlivious to the fact until the end. When she finally begins to realize that she is wrong, it's actually quite sad to watch her. At first she just seems to be in a confused daze until Relena slaps her (*growl* Which Relena had no right to do... self-righteous hypocrite that she is). Then her grandfather shoots her and doesn't even show remorse! He goes so far as to say that she can be replaced! I don't think the movie really brought out the tragedy of Mariemaia's circumstances. She is told by her grandfather, who she should be able to trust, that she will be carrying out her father's wishes by causing a war. Everything she does, she does because she is told it is what she should do. Unlike some characters, Mariemaia isn't old enough to really understand that she is wrong, and she has no one to tell her that. Lady Une is the only person in the entire movie who showed any affection for Mariemaia at all (including her family), and as she grows up she will have to deal with all of these things, including the actions she took. On the brighter side of things, Lady Une takes up the responsibility of acting as Mariemaia's family at the end, and Mariemaia looks like she is handling everything well, which would make her a very strong person.
