Two always together,
and seldom apart
Each knew the other,
as well as his own heart.
It was the cruelest intentions,
that stole one away
Until the other arrived,
and together they saved the day,
Side by side,
and back to back
They turned the tide,
to set all back on track.
Brothers of the heart,
one now gone to the light
The other remained to start,
and finish the fight.
Lost but never forgotten,
a soul found its peace
His song echoed on the wind,
in his brother, may it not cease.
When the world seemed its worst,
to one alone and facing strife
Another soul, also lost,
found the way into his life.
The world goes on unaware,
when one life does stall
But though one may slip,
the other will stop his fall.
Together the two travelled,
and slowly life, it seemed
Grew slightly less unravelled,
when once a jester was again allowed to dream.
In the end, the two brothers lay,
though under a separate moonlight's beam
For now at a distance, yet always connected,
and each was again allowed to dream.
