Caught In The Middle Chapter 11 ****back at AJ's apartment** Annie went back to her house after school she didn't want to overstay her welcome at AJ's, and was sure he had found out about the whole Brittany thing, and that embarrassed her. She got home around 2:30, and was expecting Amanda to come over around 3:30.When the doorbell rang at about 3, she expected it to be Amanda coming early, but it was Melissa. "Hey Annie, can I come in?" she said. "Sure, anytime." and Annie opened the door to let her in. Melissa came in and gave Annie a hug. "Annie, let me talk. I'm sooo sorry how I've been treating you. With Brittany here, and Brian leaving tomorrow to make up some tour dates and go to Europe, I got caught up in the moment!" Annie froze. "Wait a minute, the guys, they're leaving again? Tomorrow? But they just got home this week!" "Yeah, Mr. Wright just called them all last night, and said that they had to be in NY this next week, starting Saturday, for promotions, and then in Europe for 3 weeks, like they had planned, why are you so concerned?" "NY? They’re leaving tomorrow? Oh shit!" Annie sat down, and thought hard. "Yeah! Thats where they’re going? What is it? Is it Ni---? OMG Annie, I should have noticed! While I was busy with Brittany and Brian, you were busy falling in love! I am sooo sorry, that’s why you hated Brittany, who's nose is gonna be ok by the way,." Annie just nodded, and whipped away the 1 tear that had escaped from her eye. "Lis, I love him so much! I've loved him since the day I met him! I don't want to lose him, not now, but he doesn't feel the same way!" "Annie, I think he does, he just doesn't want to admit it. Nick's been hurt, a lot, everyone that loves him loves him for his looks, and his fame, he's not used to feeling real love." Annie nodded again, and hugged her best friend in the whole world. "I knew you would come through for me, Lis! But, how do I get him to realize I'm not just some dumb tomboy that’s feels different for the first time?" she said, quietly. "We accessorize!" Just then, the doorbell rang again, it was Amanda this time., with a huge suitcase. "Yeah Annie! I brought my plan!” "Hi Mandy!" Mandy opened the suitcase, to find tons of clothes, makeup, and accessories. Melissa looked at her and laughed "Great minds think alike!" she stated, and her and Melissa laughed. The girls went upstairs to start the 'makeover' "I feel like I'm 15 again with all this makeover crap!" stated Annie, the girls laughed, feeling the same way. 1 hour later, the girls showed Annie to a mirror. Her shoulder length locks were held back with silver barrette, curled and clipped up in a french twist. She was wearing a black spaghetti strap tank top that showed off her slim stomach, and a short silver skirt with black flowers. Along with all this came black sandals with half-heels, and Mandy's make-up. Annie gasped at the sight of herself, and Mandy and Melissa smiled at their 'creation’. "This is sooo not me! but, it could work, maybe." Annie stated. The others laughed, and got ready for their dates with Brian and AJ. The two were going to a restaurant to celebrate their last day in Orlando, and invited Nick and Annie along. To these occasions, Annie usually wore a plain shirt and a pair f Melissa's black stretch-bellbottoms, this was a different approach to her, and by the things Nick went for, she was sure he would love her at first sight. They got in the car and headed over to Brian's apartment, where they were meeting. Melissa had on a short red dress, with her hair down and flowing, Amanda was wearing white flairs and a white halter top with a black jacket, and her hair in a ponytail of curls. The girls got out of the car and went to the door. Annie tripped over the hose, not used to her heals, and by the time she got to the open door the others were inside. She had known these guys for 6 months, yet for the first time felt shy. She stood in the threshold of the door and peeked inside. AJ whistled, “Hey, looking good, Annie!” She blushed.
