Good-Bye, My Friends INTRODUCTION- THE STORY- They all slowly packed their possessions. Nick started to rummage through the back of the couch. Quickly, he jumped out. “LOOK! I found my Tomb Raider game!” Nick announced. He started to laugh and the others followed. Howie picked up a picture of them from 1995. “Wow, I was a lot younger back then.” Howie smiled. “Nick, you still look the same.” “I’ll take that as a compliment.” Nick said, grinning. He was putting his video games into his duffel bag. Kevin and Brian were picking out their clothing. AJ was slowly putting away his sunglasses. AJ was the quietest of them all. He was the one who couldn’t believe this was all ending. After the many years they’ve been together. The fame was still at the peak. Though, they made this announcement a few months ago. Many fans, new and old, were devastated. But, they all understood. They’ve been around for such a long time. They all saw N Sync, 5ive, 98*, and all the other bands come and go. But BSB stayed. And now, it’s time for them to live their normal lives. They all dated here and there, but nothing really came out of those relationships. Many fans cried that night, the Boys were crying too. This was the end of the Backstreet Boys. Brian sat down on the sofa and started to cry. “I’m going to miss you guys so much.” It took a lot for him to utter that out. Though, it just came out in whispers. Nick sat down next to his best friend of the band. He started to have tears build up.“It’s not like we’re going to die, man! We’ll all still be friends. And also, we can hang out with each other.” Nick said, trying to be happy. But the tears started to come out. Kevin and Howie went to them and started to cry, too. AJ sat next to the closet putting his clothing into his bag. “Guys, come on. Let’s try and make the best of this. Let’s not cry.” Kevin said getting up. “Fine.” was all Brian could say. AJ started towards the CD section to put in his CDs. They all started to pack again. Brian still had tears forming. He was trying to hold them back. Nick was crying like a baby. Howie and Kevin were just stiffling. AJ was clear. He didn’t know what to do.Cry, laugh, dance. It was the end, he didn’t know what kind of reaction he should have. “I’m done packing.” Nick said. He picked up his bag. All the others did the same. “So are the rest of us.” Kevin replied. “I’m going to miss you Kaos.” Kevin leaned in and gave Nick a hug. “I’m going to miss you big poppa.” Nick uttered. Tears formed in their eyes. Howie, Brian, Nick, and Kevin exchanged their good byes. Each of them said bye to AJ and gave him a hug. But AJ had no reaction towards them. He stood there like a zombie. They knew how AJ felt about this. All of them except AJ left the tour bus. AJ looked around. He remembered where Nick’s favorite sleeping area is. That was the best place to sleep. And where Brian and Nick had their wrestling matches. The whole bus was bare. Nothing. He turned towards the door where the guys left. Tears came to his eyes and fell down. “Good bye, my friends.” was all he said. It came out in a dry, raspy voice. He got out and left. That was it, the end of the Backstreet Boys.
