A BSB Fan's Dream Come True Chapter 23 Emilie was in her room on the tour bus, as Buck informed them that they would be arriving at the motel momentarily. She sat down on her bed, and felt a stray tear float down her face. She felt awful, but was determined to keep her feelings silent because she didn't want the guys to get mad at each other. She was mad Nick had kissed Sheri, and was willing to forgive him, but she missed him sadly. She missed his smile, and was determined to let both of them have a break for a while. They hadn't really talked for the whole bus ride and everyone knew there was a built-up tension between them. "Emilie?" said AJ, knocking on the door. "We're at the Skydome Motel." "The Skydome were staying at?" Emilie gulped back, knowing it was the place where Nick and her had started their wonderful relationship. "Well, the concert is at the Skydome," AJ said. "Em, are you honestly okay?" "Fine," Emilie answered, avoiding his eyes. "Emilie Anne Parker, I know you are not fine!" AJ insisted, as she looked at him. "AJ, please let it be," Emilie replied, as she grabbed her purse. "I don't want anymore fights." She headed out of the room and followed everyone into the motel. She entered the motel and everything came back to her. Their first kiss, her unfortuante ankle sprang, the place where he had asked her out. She wondered if Nick was remembering it as well. She looked at him, and he was looking at Windows, the same restaurant she was. "Wow! Hey everyone!" said an unfamiliar voice and Emilie turned to see an unfamiliar girl standing there. "I'm so glad my mom booked the right flight! Nicky, how are you?" "Hi Sheri," Nick said solemnly, avoiding her eyes. Emilie stared at the girl. So this was Sheri White. Her blond hair was curly, her blue eyes expressive, and her laugh irritated Emilie beyond belief. "Bri, AJ, Howard, Kevy Kev!" Sheri shrieked. "How's my brothers?" "Great," AJ replied, giving her a fake smile. She walked over to Nick and put her arm around his shoulders. She glanced at Emilie and her eyes lit up. "Emilie! Wow! You are so beautiful! I can't believe we finally meet!" Sheri shrieked, and AJ almost started laughing. "Nicky has said so much about you!" "His name is Nick," Emilie snapped back, as she turned and walked away quickly. "Whoa, bitchy," Sheri sighed, as she turned back to the rest of the guys. "So, my mom scored backstage passes for me to the concert tonight! Isn't that wonderful?" "Just brilliant!" AJ shrieked and she looked at him oddly. "I think I'm going to go see Em," Brian suggested. "Uh, me too," AJ agreed and Howie followed them as well. They located Emilie in the restaurant Windows, where she was sipping a Coke. "Hey Em," Brian said sitting down at the booth. "That girl is so retarded!" Emilie snapped, as soon as they sat down. "Nicky this, and Nicky that! Geez, I hope she isn't coming to the concert tonight!" "She has backstage passes," Howie answered and Emilie shook her head. "The way she's hanging off Nick, I'm going to kick her ass," Emilie threatened and they all stared at her. "Whoa Em, I've never seen you so pissed off," Brian commented, as Emilie sipped her Coke. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't threaten her, but she annoys me!" Emilie replied. "I can't believe after kissing my boyfriend, she decides to prance around and try to get him back!" "Let's forget about her," AJ said calmly, as he saw Kevin walk into the restaurant. "Please don't tell that girl is coming to the concert tonight!" Kevin said, as he gave them all their room keys. "She has backstage passes," they all replied in unison and Kevin shook his head. "I'm going to the room," Kevin replied, and he headed towards the elevators. "Can I take your order?" the waitress asked them, as she stopped at the table.. "So Nicky, how's life?" Sheri asked him, as he debated whether he should join the guys in the restaurant or go to his motel room. "Did you get my note?" "Sheri, how long are you here for?" Nick replied which caught Sheri off guard. "I'm here for the weekend," Sheri answered, as she twirled her blond hair. "Why?" "Because Emilie and I broke up," Nick replied. "Omigoodness, why, what happened?" Sheri asked him innocently. Finally, I can have Nick Carter all to myself! Sheri thought to herself. Everyone will be jealous that I am dating a Backstreet Boy! "Because she found the letter!" Nick replied quietly and Sheri tried to look sympathetic and caring. "My poor baby," Sheri comforted him. "Well, it's for the better, isn't it Nick?" "Sheri, I love Emilie," Nick told her. "We were friends when we were younger, but we aren't best friends anymore. Friends maybe, but Emilie is my best friend. I don't love you and I probably never will." "But, what about our kiss?" Sheri asked him. "Your kiss Sheri, you kissed me and I didn't feel anything," Nick said, and Sheri stared at him. "Nicky, you have known me for eighteen years and you've known her for barely a year," Sheri began expertedly. "How can you say you love her more then me?" "Okay, Sheri, let me explain this to you," Nick said, as they stood near the elevators. "Do you know the story of Cinderella? Good. Well, I'm Prince Charming and I desparately want someone I can love forever, hold in my arms and tell her she's the only one for me. But, suddenly, there evil stepsister named Drusilla comes along and she tries to get me too, but I don't want her, I want Cinderella. Who do you think you are?" "Cinderella?" Sheri asked innocently. "No, Emilie is Cinderella!" Nick replied. "You are Drusilla!" "Nicky, I am not evil!" Sheri laughed. "Wow, you are so hilarious! Me? Drusilla? That's too cute!" "Sheri, are you just dippy?" Nick asked her, debating whether she was on drugs or not. "Dippy? No Nicky!" Sheri giggled, tossing her hair. "Look, I'll explain it as simply as I can!" Nick said fustrated. "Shoot Nicky," Sheri giggled again, as she held onto his arm, but he pulled away quickly. "Sheri, I don't love you, our kiss meant nothing to me!" Nick said and Sheri stared at him. "Nicky, it didn't?" she asked, as she pouted. "No, it didn't!" Nick answered. "And my name is Nick, not Nicky! ""Fine, be that way," Sheri snapped. "Emilie is a loser anyway. I don't know what you see in her." "Sheri, I don't want to fight with you," Nick said, and Sheri smiled again. "Great Nicky because I still want to be your very best friend," Sheri shrieked, as she grabbed his hand. "Sheri, how about we pretend that I don't know you and you don't me?" Nick suggested and Sheri giggled again. "Sure whatever you say Nicky!" she shrieked as Nick groaned. ***************************************** Emilie walked into the motel room that she had all to herself. It was a nice motel room and she decided to call her house to tell her mom, that she had arrived safely. She spoke briefly, not wanting to ring up the phone bill and switched on the television onto Muchmusic. She watched for a while, as the countdown came on. At six or so, she showered, got dressed in a nice long skirt, with a white blouse, and put on black sandals. She let her hair down and put on a little bit of make-up. She walked out of the motel room, with the backstage pass that she was guaranteed for the whole tour. She headed down the elevators and tunnels until she reached the backstage entrance and was let in immediately. "Emilie! Hey!" said a familiar male voice and Emilie turned to see Justin and JC from 'N Sync standing there. "Hey guys!" Emilie smiled, as she gave them hugs. "How are you?" "Great," Justin answered. "You're probably wondering what we are doing here." "Kind of," Emilie replied, as she followed them towards the green room and dressing rooms. "Well, the guys and us are doing a joint tour, but nobody knows that!" JC replied, as they all grabbed Cokes. "We are goign to surprise all the fans." "That's an awesome idea!" Emilie smiled, as she sipped her Coke. "Wow!" "Wow! 'N Sync!" Sheri shrieked and Emilie cringed. "Run for your lives!" Emilie whispered to Justin and JC, as she ran towards the nearest dressing room, and ducked in it with JC and Justin behind her. She locked the door behind her, and sighed with relief. "Why were we running away from her?" Justin asked Emilie, as he caught his breath. "Hi!" said the occupant of the room and Emilie looked to see Chris and Joey. "Hi guys," Emilie replied, as she heard Sheri knocking on the door. "Because she's an annoying, cheating freak." "Oh," JC answered puzzled. "So, how's Nick and the guys?" Joey asked her, and her eyes turned instantly to sadness. "Fine," Emilie answered quietly, as Sheri stopped knocking on the door. "Are you okay?" Justin asked her and she nodded. She opened the door and walked out to see Sheri standing by herself. "Emilie, can we talk?" Sheri shrieked at her, but she kept on walking. "Look girl, Nick is mine and will always be mine. Get over it! He loves me and not you!" "Kiss my ass," Emilie snapped at her. "Nick loves me and you screwed up our relationship. Nick wouldn't love you if you were the last freak on earth!" "Nick loves me," Sheri said confidently. "You are just jealous that he kissed me! He loves me Emilie. I suggest you back off!" Emilie glared at her. "I think you are living in a dillusion Sheri," Emilie informed her and Sheri laughed. "Dillusion? I think I'm living in the real world!" Sheri replied, and Emilie looked away, as a very familiar song came on... The strands in your eyes, the colour them wonderful "If Nick loves you so much, how come this song reflects his love for me?" Emilie asked, as tears formed in her eyes. "You have no idea how much hurt and pain you have caused between Nick and I. You ruined us." "This song is not your song," Sheri snapped and Emilie wiped away the tear from her eyes. "Just leave me alone," Emilie whispered and she turned, and fled towards the stage. Justin and JC had heard the whole commotion, as they couldn't believe they had just witnessed that. "Wow, Emilie really loves Nick," Justin commented. "I hate seeing someone so heartbroken." "Especially someone as sweet as Emilie," JC shook his head, as the backstage manager informed them they would be starting soon. Emilie sat out in the crowd in front row, beside Mrs.McLean. Usually AJ's mom didn't sit in the audience, but she didn't want to have Emilie sitting by herself at the first concert. The lights dimmed, as the crowd started screaming and Emilie tried hard to force herself to have a good time. The song before had reminded her how much she loved Nick and how she missed him. She wished she could be in his arms again. "Hi everyone! Welcome to the first official concert by the Backstreet Boys on their North American tour!" shouted Tommy Smith, their organ player. "So do any of you beautiful people know who is opening for the band?" "No!" the crowd screamed. "Well, please welcome 'N Sync!" Tommy yelled and the whole audience gasped. They cheered louder, as Emilie's eyes beamed with excitement. She saw them come out in space costumes, as to where nobody could tell who was who. They put on an awesome concert especially when they came to their last song. Justin looked into the crowd and smiled. "Well, this is our last song of the evening! It's called God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You! We dedicate this song to every single female in the audience and Em, this is dedicated to you especially from someone who loves you more then she ever could!" Justin winked at her, as they sat down on their stools. "And who is that?" Mrs.McLean asked Emilie. "Nick, I hope," Emilie replied, as tears formed in her eyes, as Justin began to sing... Can this be true? Tears flooded down Emilie's eyes, as the song ended with Justin smiling at her. She headed back stage when suddenly, someone grabbed her arm. She looked to see Jocelyn standing there with Carmen. "Hi Emilie!" Jocelyn shrieked, as she hugged Emilie hard. "Jo, how are you? Hi Carmen!" Emilie shrieked back, as Carmen smiled at her. "I'm so great Emilie!" Jocelyn replied. "That was a beautiful song! How is Nick and you?" "Well, we kind of broke up," Emilie answered honestly. "But, I think we'll be getting back together real soon!" "Oh no," Jocelyn cried. "You and Nick were so good together!" "Thanks Jo," Emilie answered. "Know what? AJ's mom is right there and she has some extra backstage passes! Hold on, I'll get to get some for you for after the show!" "Wow thanks!" Jocelyn cried, as Emilie went over to Mrs.McLean who was talking through her cellular phone. "Emilie, what's up?" Mrs.McLean asked her. "Well, Denise, do you remember the little girl that the guys and I met last year in December? Well, she's here and I was wondering if we could give them some backstage passes?" Emilie asked. "Sure!" Mrs.McLean said cheerfully. She headed over to them and they worked out the details, as Emilie headed backstage. She saw Nick standing beside Brian, as they got ready for the show. "Hey you!" AJ said cheerfully. "Where have you been?" "Just watching 'N Sync," Emilie answered smiling. "Nick, can we talk?" "Sure Em," Nick answered, as he followed her towards a quiet area near the stage entrance. "Nick, I want to work things out!" Emilie whispered softly, as tears formed in her eyes. "I love you so much and I miss you so much. I forgive you totally about Sheri and I heard "I'll Be", and all the special times we have shared, came flooding back to me, and I love you Nick! Honestly, I love you more then Sheri ever could." Nick looked at his girlfriend, as tears streamed down her face. He reached up and brushed a solemn tear away from her face. "Em, I love you too," Nick whispered back, as Emilie's eyes sparkled. Nick pulled her close, as she held him tight, as the love she felt for him overcame the difficult time they had just endured, and they held each other close again. "Aw! So cute!" AJ teased them. "Bone, I knew you were going to drive me insane before the concert tonight!" Emilie teased him back, as Nick laughed. "Yo Frack, I'm sorry I said those things to you," AJ apologized. "Yeah me too Bone," Nick replied and they gave each other a quick brotherly hug. "Emilie sandwich!" Brian yelled, as Nick, Brian, AJ, Kevin, and Howie gave Emilie a big group hug... |
