Chapter 7

It was a warm summer day. The trees were swaying lazily in the mid-july breeze as the birds' songs rang on for miles. It was a rather large medieval city. The roads were made of stone as were the houses. Shops were set up along the main streets' side. Poverty was abundant as in most mid-evil towns and cities.

I was caught in the same exact dream as before. Nothing had changed so far. I even felt that happiness in my heart. I felt protected as if someone where watching over me.

I looked around me only to see all the people around me in the city bowed before me. Again, I quickly told them to stop. I looked down and smiled. I was still wearing the most beautiful sparkling baby-blue gown I had ever seen. Only now it had Navy blue and white trim. Also, I felt that my long light brown hair was left down, and hung to my waist.

Now I was beginning to become scared. A lot of things were being changed in my dream. Were they for the better or the worst?? What was going to happen next?

"Whitney! Come back here!!!" I heard a man yell from off to the side of me. Suddenly a little black hairs girl knocked straight into my left leg. I smiled down at the stunned 4 year old and picked her up.

"Hey, there, cutie! What are you doing??" I asked her smiling.

"Getting da dwagonfwy!" the girl pointed, her emerald eyes sparkling.

The man I heard before was right next to me now. He gasped as he bowed in front of me. "I am so, so, sorry, your majesty. I took my eyes off of her for one second..." he apologized profusely.

"Please, there is no need to apologize and there is certainly no need to bow. I am no better than you," I smiled as I returned his child to him.

I noticed the several changes in the dream and felt my stomach tighten. I didn't have control over myself as I had the first time. It was as if my actions before dictated how this dream was going to occur. I didn't decide what I did or said, I didn't have control. I knew what was next and I felt like crying out for help, but I couldn't.

Then, as expected, the rumble pierced through the air and panic swept the streets. Everything was twice as bad as before. People were being trampled by others and everyone was saving themselves.

I turned around and faced my enemy. His ice cold eyes met my grey ones. Each of us sized the other up. I felt more able to control myself than before and took my opportunity. "What do you want?" My voice sounded more confident than I really was.

"Rose! You already know that! Your kingdom shall be mine!!" He answered indignantly as his troops rushed by us to invade the city.

"NEVER!!" I spat before grabbing the chain around my neck. Once I did, I felt power surge through me. The warmth increased by ten fold, and I felt extreme peace. 'He can't rule my kingdom without me by his side. It would be impossible' was the second to last thing I thought.

The very last thought were the words that escaped my lips as I was torn out of the dream, "Nickolas!!!!! Alexander!!!!!"

I moaned as I awoke more slowly from the dream this time. A migraine was there to welcome me back to consciousness, and I swore under my breath. The birds were still chirping happily and I cursed them all to hell. Why were they always so joyous for anyway??

"She's alive!!" I heard a man's voice exclaim next to me. I heard several more footsteps approaching and slightly whimpered as my head pounded with each one.

"Why would I be dead?" I snapped at the man's comment without opening my eyes.

"Hmm, I don't know.....Maybe...Because we hit you with our bus?" a raspy voice replied back sarcastically.
