The Interactive Story
We all remember stories told around a camp fire. One of my favorite things to do around the fire on a cool summer night, is play the game where someone starts a story, and it goes around from person to person, each person adding on to it. You never know where the story might go, and in the end, everyone hears a pretty good tale while sharing a few laughs in the process. This page is going to try to recreate that experience. Read the story, and add on. Please make sure that it fits the story. Be creative, funny, crazy, odd, romantic, or adventurous. You chose the next direction for the tale! The Sound
One cool summer night, while the wind was trembling and the waves of the nearby lake could be heard crashing along the beach, this story began. The tale starts in a house, located on the rim of a beach that lined the edge of the lake’s body. There was no other house around, as it was built where development had not yet reached, if you can imagine such a thought. The house was very large, and was particularly new. The individuals, who lived there now, had always lived there. The house was occupied by four people, a father, mother, and two kids, both girls. The father, named Paul, was a wealthy architect, and had designed the very house they lived in. The mother, who went by the name Lilly, was unemployed ever since getting married. Before that however, she had been in college to study astronomy. Astronomy had become a passion for her since she thought she was abducted by aliens in the fifth grade. As for the kids, one was 17, and the other was 13. The 17 year old was named Katrina, Kat for short, and was very smart. She didn’t do well in school do the fact she was lazy. However, she had one of the brightest minds around. She had the astonishing ability to understand everything around her, and soaked up information like a sponge. Kat had a habit of coming up with little inventions and tooling around with things. The 13 year old was very anti-social, and lived a life surrounded by sports. Her name was Brianna. Brianna loved soccer, and played the position of goalie. She always seemed to know where the ball was going, and always guessed the right direction the opposing player was going to kick it. As for school, all the smarts must have gone to Katrina, because she wasn’t gifted in anything academically. As mentioned earlier, the night where this story starts was cool, a relaxing cool and a comfortable cool. Everyone was getting ready to sleep, and everyone had their windows open to take advantage of the calm atmosphere. This state of peace would not last for long however, as a sudden noise was heard by everyone in the house. It sounded like a thousand metal spoons being dropped into a thousand tin pots, mixed in with a noise that sounded like elephants running over bubble wrap. The sudden sound which lasted about a minute caused everyone to jump out of bed, and look out their second story windows to see what caused it. Nothing could be seen. In the midst of intense curiosity, the family decided to go outside and see if they could discover the source of the noise. The events that followed would never be forgotten...
And how could they forget them? How could anyone
forget 1000 aliens dropping 1000 spoons into 1000
tin pans? All four of them ran downstairs to see
what was going on and were stopped in their
tracks by a invisible forcefield. Kat using her
amazing mental skills, shot mind bullets at the
alien made creation and shattered it! Getting
though the forcefield was an amazing feat and
gained the respect of the aliens. They were so
impressed that they decided to make her their new
leader. They asked her though telepathic
messages and she accepted, under one condition--
that her family could come with her. However,
her family did not like this idea, and decided to
try and kill Kat to not have to go up with the
aliens. The aliens, seeing threats to their
leader, attack the rest of her family, giving
them painful anal probes as punishment. Then,
they are beamed up into a wonderful new world
that they could have never imagined...
