Katherine lives in Caloocan City with her family. She finished elementary at St. Mary's Academy of Caloocan City, and high school at St. Theresa's College in Quezon City.

In UP Diliman, she belongs to the UP In-Christ Thrust for University Students (UP ICTUS), a Christian, socio-civic organization based in the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice located inside the campus. UP ICTUS abides by four thrusts - Fellowship, Service, Teaching and Prayer - which it fulfills through its apostolates, namely tutorials, catechism, children's literacy sessions and play therapy at the Philippine Children's Medical Center in Quezon City.
