i stumble through these days
just barely getting by
sometimes..
and i grumble about the ways
that things have gone awry
sometimes..
as if in a shadow of the next troubling thing
i find myself worrying over every little bit
conflicts that don't matter
and
petty issues that i can't get over
and for once i'd just like to be
love to be
free
from all the dread and anticipation
from all the drama and participation
that carefree person who thinks of today
and has no cares for tomorrow
who can toss away time and
thinks on their life they can borrow
high hopes for their lives
big dreams in their eyes
accepting truth for what it is
and
believing they can survive
don't you wish for these things?
i can't be the only one
don't you dream of these things?
