We spent a fun-filled day at Zuma Beach in Malibu. The weather was picture perfect and the kids had a great time burying their dad in the sand! = - )

Matthew learned to swim this summer! He may only be 3 and a half, but he swims like a pro. As you can see, he knows how to flip off the diving board and swim to the ladder. He is learning to dive, but the dives sometimes look more like belly flops! = - )

We are in the midst of annual Track Meet week. First night results: Angelica came in 3rd place in the Tug-Of-War, Jennifer came in 3rd in the Sock Throw and David placed 1st in the 75 Yard Dash and the Tug-Of-War. Do you notice that David is a little larger than the other kids in the race? He continues to tower over his classmates and is almost 5'2".

Night two of the Track Meet was also pretty exciting: Jennifer placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash and 1st in the Weight Ball Throw; Angelica came in 3rd in the Basketball Shoot Out and David received ribbons for 2nd place in Marksmanship and 1st for Hurdles.

The closing ceremonies for the Track Meet were last night. It was an exciting week full of races, relays and ribbons!

Our family (except Matthew) will be going on a Mission Trip to Ensenada, Mexico for 6 days. We will be helping with a neighborhood outreach in the community and continue construction on the new church. Matthew will be staying home with Grandma and Uncle Phillip.

Our week in Mexico was wonderful! We sanded and painted; hammered and built;

prepared crafts for VBS and led craft time with dot art markers;

combined all our handprints on a sheet and then took a group picture with 100 VBS kids!!!!!

A week later our family went to Palm Springs for a retreat with our Bible Study friends. It was great to be together again in 110 degree heat! = - )
