Rose Parade Memories 2002

We woke up at 4:00 a.m. and headed to Pasadena to sit in the dark and watch sleepy people wake up. While we waited for the parade to begin, Matthew took a little nap.

This year Grandpa Chuck, Grandma Arlene, Jonathan and Micaela joined our family at our favorite viewing area for the Rose Parade.

Kathy and Matthew posed for a self-portrait and we were all amazed at the fly over by the stealth bomber.

Another year of beautiful floats!

Friends, fun and family! = - )

Our family enjoyed a New Year's Day Scrabble Tournament that lasted 2 days, had 10 competitors and consisted of 6 games total. The final round was a game between Kathy and Doug and as you can see, Doug was victorious!!! He is very proud of his accomplishment and we all had a great time!

Today, Jan. 3, our 3 oldest children performed a farewell concert for Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Arlene before they began their drive back to Denver. Grandma Arlene even stepped in as guest conductor! = - ) As soon as the concert was over, our daughters happily played dress-up and took care of their babies with our neighbors, Jas and Jas Pinder.

We were able to attend the 2002 U.S. Figure Skating Championships this past week. We had a great time and if you would like to see more pictures from the week just click here:

Yes! Show me the pictures!!!

On Thursday night David graduated from the D.A.R.E. Program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) along with all the other 5th graders in our school district. David also won a medal for his essay about living the drug free life!

Angelica and Jennifer were part of an awards and talent showcase on Saturday night. Angelica played, "Beauty and the Beast" and Jennifer played, "It's A Small World." They both played wonderfully and as you can see our "little girls" are growing up! = - )

David attended the annual winter awards dinner with his sports league. He received a nice desk set for being on the team for 5 years.
